AC Milan - Milanfan.com _ News _ Milan Target Edin Dzeko May Join Man City

Posted by: xcube Dec 29 2010, 12:56 PM

AC Milan Target Edin Dzeko may join Man City in January 2011, after cassano joined milan in Dubai and the announcement of signing him on Jan 3rd. That left the race clear for Man City to sign Dzeko.

Here is the news from Goal.com:

Edin Dzeko's transfer saga appears to be coming to an end, as German publication Bild has reports the player is as good as gone to Manchester City, with the Citizens and their Sheikh offering Wolfsburg €35 million (£29.9m) for the Bosnian attacker.

It is believed that Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan will pay €30m (£25.6m) initially and a further €5m (£4.3m) on the condition that Manchester City reach the Champions League this year. On Tuesday Goal.com UK confirmed the transfer was nearing completion and revealed that manager Roberto Mancini believes the forward can be the final piece in the club's puzzle.

Goal.com isn't the most reliable to say the least, though in this case I do think there is a strong possibility of Dzeko joining City or an alternative in Chelski if Roman gets his cheque book out again due to this slump.

Edit: Just as I say that there is a BBC article emerging to confirm. Though they also wrote stuff about Zlatan, and a trio including VDV, Gago & Higuain at one point during the summer.

Well the striker is young and good, Milan started 1st to target the player then Juve, Chelsea and now Man City But Wolfsburg really over rate it with the price!

Not that it matters much anyway, he'll probably come here in a few years. laugh.gif tongue.gif Much like Cristiano Ronaldo when he turns 34. That is, as long as Berlusconi is still at the helm until then. Mr. B sure loves his toys.
