Yes, and I'd prefer it that way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Maldini can do great things as a coach, but he's made a wise decision seeing how his father was heartbroken after the defeats in France 98 and more.

I'm wondering if there's any particular significance in Tassotti giving that interview yesterday. I don't recall him doing long interviews like that at all. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if it's a hint of management changes to come.

That would be a dream coming true (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

By the way, I think MVB is an over rated coach he played a very offensive football in the last Euro and impressed a lot, but I don't think that kind of football will last an entire season. He lost his last match against Willem 2-1, in the second half he did something you only see in PES, 3 substitutes in 3 minutes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/freak.gif)

MvB did an okay job at the Euro's. He made some very questionable subtitutions though.

please lets stop this meaningless discussion. When carlo retires in 2010, i'm be 20 years old and a suitable cadidate for the job. And whats with this tradition of players coaching, i'm gonna be a fan coaching so its all good dozers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Not gonna happen, vnata. First, he hates Milan (see comments made last year). Second, he's not a former Milan player.

The second should be first, and that should be that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Personally I don't believe this whole former Milan player BS. If so we're really limiting ourselves to practically 3 coaches, Donadoni, Rijkaard and Van Basten and imo, neither of them are good enough and a step down from Carlo.

If our management have half a brain they would chose a coach based on credentials not his past history with the club.

And it's pointless to bring up Baresi, Billy and Maldini since non of them has ever coached, and a club like Milan need an experianced coach

I would like Rijkaard to be honest, he did a good job with Barca. By no means is he a worse coach than Carlo, and he seems to have more ambition. He tries to win everything he enteres, with it be La Liga, Champions league of the Coppa. He tries to go out and win games, while Carlo seems more intend on defending on trying to sneak a goal here and there. He's by no means worse than Carlo for sure.

Rijkaard is too lax in my opinion and I heard he and Ronaldinho had a major falling out towards the end...

That was more to do with Ronaldinho putting on weight and being lazy than anything. Most coaches would have done the same.

i don't mind the idea of rijkaard, i think it would be really cool if he were to return to us actually, cuz this is where he belongs and he's a proven winnger..BUT, rijkaard and ronaldinho together doesn't sound like that good of an idea only because of the little falling out they had..with that said they DID win the CL together.

Question...is this "coaches must be from within the milan family" thing an official policy? or is it just kind of unspoken rule..
