I also prefer an attacking midfielder like Van der Vaart over a forward like Robinho when Ronaldinho leaves.

I think this have been one of the most successful transfer seasons we ever had, except not signing a Rb but I think Zambrotta can play well for another year, especially if he focuses only on defending. We've acquired a highly rated Central defender. We have Awesome Goalkeepers, the signing of Amelia helped. In midfield we took Boaetang as a loan, adding depth and youngsters for our aging mid, although I don't know if he will be in the starting 11 soon.Recently,we also took Ibra on a loan,a world class striker with great finishing skills,a thing we needed.
We also bought many highly rated youngsters which will be very useful in the future. We also discovered in the pre-season that we have some really great youngsters from the primavera, like Merkel,Verdi,Odu.My only complain would be that we needed 1more midfeilder, maybe the Vdv option is still available.
All of what we acquired was really for very good price.
Let's watch Milan tomorrow hoping we won't draw embarrassingly like Roma did.

23:05 - "This is the final that he wanted the philosopher Guardiola" The cryptic phrase is signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede made the award to the Spanish media on leaving the meeting decisive for its future, as reported by Spanish newspaper AS. The jab at his former coach shows how the Swede confirm, after the words post-Gamper, that its failure in Catalonia and its transfer to Milan would only be attributed to the leadership of the Barca team.

22:50 - There will be an official presentation to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after the public at the San Siro tomorrow. "It 's been called the national team and will now play against Sweden," Galliani from the explanation given for the failure event. Meanwhile, there's also other statements Raiola: "No severance pay from Barcelona for Ibrahimovic. Sorry for the Inter fans that perhaps they will be happy, but football is like that. Anyway, while it remained at Inter, Zlatan has given maximum for that shirt. " (Gazzetta.it)

22:20 - The official website reveals some background on Berlusconi's visit to the team. The President arrived at Milanello on board his helicopter at 19.30, met the coach Massimiliano Allegri and greeted all the members of the technical staff. Then, in the fireplace room, met the team which announced the acquisition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He later received a call from Adriano Galliani who did speak directly with the player. In time to say goodbye phone is immediately taken the applause of all the players to new teammate. 20:20 pm, the President then left, as previously reported, the sports center of Milanello.

22:00 - Arrive also announced on the website of Barcelona: "Barcelona and Milan have agreed to the passage of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Italian club on loan for the entire 2010/11 season with the salary paid entirely by the Rossoneri. L ' Agreement provides an option for outright purchase by AC Milan in the summer for 24 million. Exploitation of the option by AC Milan to Barcelona will provide a savings of 60 million. The operation was possible thanks to the collaboration of player and the goodwill of its agent in the final stages of negotiations. "With the final sentence, you probably close as well Ibra operation, including the controversy between the Catalan club and Mino Raiola.

QUOTE
After Ajax, where he became an important player, after Juventus, his first Italian club, after Inter and Barcelona here he is, at Milan. We were close to getting him on more than one occasion... and today it finally becomes reality. We are at the happy end of a splendid negotiation conducted by Adriano Galliani, with the support of president Berlusconi. There were no ball and no goals in this match between Galliani and president Rosell, but it really was like the Milan CEO had played a great European football game in the past few days.

He always had everything neccessary to become one of ours, the premises were there... Class, technique, character. Better later than never, of course, but strange that Zlatan Ibrahimovic became a Milan player at the age of 28, and arrived only in 2010 at what could have been his home for years.

The first meeting was fatal, but at that time nothing came out of it. Summer 2001, four-team tournament at the Amsterdam Arena. Besides Ajax, Milan, Liverpool and Valencia are present. The first game is played by none others but Ajax and Milan. Rui Costa and Inzaghi wore the Rossoneri colours on the international scene for the first time. Milan wins thanks to a goal of the Portuguese playmaker, but at the end of the match Costacurta exclaims: “Have you seen that guy called Ibrahimovic?! He seems to be the new Van Basten...”.

The ball doesn’t stop rolling and in April 2003 Ajax and Milan meet again. This time not in a summer friendly, but in the quarterfinal of the Champions League. 0-0 is the final result of the first leg, played in the Netherlands, in which Pirlo and Seedorf get injured. With a patched-up midfield, but having Pippo and Sheva up front, Milan seems to be on the verge of elimination after having levelled the score twice. There’s a sparkling battle between Nesta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic... in the end Inzaghi decides the game and sends Milan to the next round.

And then, the summer of 2006. Without mentioning the outrageous injustice and deep bitterness regarding the off-field events, the night of August 9 is fundamental. After Milan’s 1-0 victory against Red Star, in the Champions Leage preliminary, the Rossonero Club is ready for the decisive assault to get Ibra. But Oriali is first to the player. And finally today... Welcome champion! We have long been waiting for you!

Its a good acquisition at a great bargain really.

Ibra and Robinho both have their problem of not being there every single game but Ibra brings a quality that we have lacked since Schevchenkos departure. And Ibra has proven that he can contribute in Serie A. I can't wait to watch them in action. Ibra, Dinho, and Pato are not the #1 best in the world as Milan are saying but up there and definitely entertaining to watch.

I was thinking about this earlier... Think you have to give some consideration to:

-Barca (Villa/Messi/Pedro or Bojan - or if we're talking slightly deeper key offensive players, Iniesta)
-Chelsea (Drogba/Anelka/Lampard or Malouda)
-Bayern (Ribery/Muller/Klose or Gomez)
-Atletico Madrid (Forlan/Aguero/Simao)
-Man City (They have a tremendous amount of fantastic players up front... don't forget they added Silva)

It really depends how much you open up the discussion... strictly three most forward? Or three top offensive weapons? If you count Iniesta with Messi and Villa... I don't see how that is beatable.

Samp, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter and Roma are not bad, either.

I think personally I'd give it to Barca for Spain, Chelsea England, and Inter for Italy. If our boys play as well as we hope and stay injury free, I think we'll take the Italian title.

As for #1 in the world, it almost depends on the day. I'd say Barca though if I had to pick.

Don't get too ahead of yourself. Ibra hasn't even played a minute for us. I have high hopes too but at this moment in time Dinho is the better acquisition until Ibra can prove otherwise.

I agree. Dinho did alot last season; IMO it'll take something very special for anyone to better his stats.
