What we need is to keep Kessie until the summer and then either extend or find someone new. Selling him now is a lose-lose situation.

This, I absolutely agree. Dont think 10M would suffice if it was paid for Milan, rather the stability and concreteness he gives the team in the middle of the park is priceless.

If the club looses him on a free, then that is that. Milan will probably have drawn up the alternatives already for next summer ala Maignan.

Brozovic to renew soon with Inter for 5.5 million, confirmed by Mediaset.

One of the best mids in Europe for his role. Meanwhile the Ivorian is asking for the moon, a player whose importance and qualities can't even be compared to Brozovic's. Why do we always get the insane ones? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

A winter window thread is due.

We are linked with several defenders. All of whom would be crucial, I also think a striker is also important at this juncture.

I don't know if you can really blame it on the management at this point if Kessie is asking for 9m

That's just insane

Reports saying Romagnoli close to renewing. So only Kessie is making insane demands

And based on performances so far this season he's just not worth it.

If I were a player and comparing Inter's outlook to ours, we have clearly the better one. Inter if they are not sold are in for a world of hurt. I don't exclude them having to sell even more players next summer.

Us on the other hand have a clearly defined project. And no with Elliot at the helm we are never going to go for the instant gratification strategy Inter went with. But in the long run, I'm much more comfortable with where we are compared to if I were an Inter fan. Sure they might get 2 Scudetti out of this. But let's not sugar coat what could be in store for them down the line if Suning stay there

Sorry bud, but I think you're just conjuring stuff up without any proper basis. It's true that Inter had a very tough financial year due to Covid and Suning's own problems, but everyone's in a fucking mess right now. And I find it very, very hard to believe that Inter's management haven't put into motion any sort of contingency plan already. In fact, the loan of 275M from Oaktree in May was to guarantee short-term liquidity to the club.

Obviously anything can happen and I don't have a crystal ball, but you speak too confident about their demise just based on your overall "feel" of the situation. Don't forget last year we had the worst loss in our history at 195M and we managed to get out of it alive. I can't see why Inter can't.

I didn't say demise anywhere.

But if Suning stay on, the Inter "project" will slowly deteriorate and they could just as easily re-slip into mediocrity again, just as what happened to them post Moratti and to us as well.

We've already seen them sell big assets, and they won't be the last.

Suning want close to a billion for the club and they're just not worth that right now. So any hope of future sale is low. Suning as a company by itself have a lot of problems. This will surely trickle down to Inter as we've already seen.

They had record losses this year. We've more than halved ours during pandemic times. For me that speaks for itself in terms of who is making the steps in the right direction.

Again, you're making groundless assumptions based only on a couple of numbers you've heard that have been thrown around. These matters are never so black and white. There's a whole other world unfolding behind the scenes that nobody is aware of. You cannot claim so casually that "they will re-slip into mediocrity" and "the Inter project will deterioriate" as if you're making your daily agenda.

They had cash flow problems which they fixed with Hakimi's sale and the Oaktree loan. Lukaku's sale was never part of the plan. Chelsea simply came knocking with a 120 million cheque and the player asked to be sold. You honestly think any Italian club has the audacity to say no to such an offer at these times?

The deal with Inter is that despite their financial problems this year they managed to stay competitive and didn't crumble apart like other clubs might have. That's not something to be ignored. On the contrary, it shows strength.

We on the other hand are owned by a greedy asset management fund that is well-known to go after companies in financial distress, make them self-sufficient, and sell them to the highest bidder to make a profit. That's all there is to it. They don't give two shits about the rest.

Milan is being linked with Rudiger of Chelsea, I am a fan!
The club needs to bring in Faivre from Brest and an understudy to Zlatan/Giroud, that kid from Monaco wont be featuring much this season.

Milan has a chance at the Scudetto, just that injuries have pushed the club back a dial. Rebic, Leao and Kajaer have made the team?s quality options rather thin.

Again a Winder thread is due (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

But these are not things I'm making up for my agenda. The Suning problems are well known facts. It's also a fact that they've been shopping Inter around.

The Evergrande situation hit them hard, not to mention having problems even prior to that

I'm not saying Inter will sink into oblivion and they have smart people like Moratta who have done good business to keep them strong. But imo, the outlook is not so great for them in the near future. They'll win the league again this season, but given the fact that the Serie A champion earns less prize money than an EPL bottom side, it's not going to help much. The extra CL cash from the KOs will help them but given that they'll only play the last 16, it won't stretch that far

I think they'll have to make other sales this summer. It's why they're being smart (again, Moratta) and locking down players in long term deals like Brozovic, even if the salaries are not sustainable long-term. But it will give them the power to get the best deals should clubs like Chelsea come knocking again.

That's where we're made mistakes. Hopefully we're working on not repeating them. Apart from Kessie that is who seems like a lost cause at this point

I think you're wrong. They're not going to sell any more players because they need cash. They might not make crazy signings again, that's a given, but further sales are out of the question. You'll see.
