Who said Mirabelli is going to keep his position?

Again, I'm really not that optimistic. Rino is okay, but the same was said about Montella. Whereas what we truly need is a coach that can attract top players, a coach that has experience and won something of importance, who has a legacy. We could have tried for a few such coaches, but again we decided to give the chance for yet another inexperienced legendary player.

Truth to be told, Rino has motivational skills for sure. He was the kind of player you can bet will become a good coach because he always was determined and wasn't that much talented so he clearly had to find out ways to make up to it. But than again look at our season finale? We are in shambles, we lost or squandered every single opportunity we had to step out. On the first sign of pressure we crumble and fall, the Coppa final being a epic failure that will linger for years.

I'm really not sure. Again, all I see is uncertainty. Financial uncertainty, in terms of management, in terms of having a plan and strategy, in terms of selecting players, establishing goals. I'm really very very pessimistic.

Because he'd have already been sacked by now if it was going to happen. A new SD would need time to work before the transfer window started. I doubt they sack Mirabelli now and bring in someone new just before the season started

Sacking him before the end of the season would have caused much turmoil, which wouldn't have been good for the team spirit.

I doubt the sporting director situation would have that much effect on the team tbh. It's not like he's part of their day to day routines at the club

I just think that if it were going to happen it would have happened by now. And he wouldn't be off watching CL games and meeting with agents

Agreed.

Btw another despicable performance by our team. I find it so pathetic that our team falls apart at the first moment of some pressure or trouble. This makes me question even Gattuso.

And another disaster performance by Donna.

Rino can only do so much when players once again continue to make basic errors. The goal we conceded should have been defended better first and foremost. That being said, the amount of times Donnarumma has let the ball pass through him this season is astounding. I really do hope he has a team lines up for next season. I'd rather have his brother starting at this point, that's how bad it's become. His head is clearly not in it right now and we can't afford to have that, especially when we're constantly living on the edge.

Montolivo, wtf was he thinking there. And he'd had such a good 30 minutes before that after he came on. For me. The most disappointing players have continued to be Suso, Bonaventura and Donnarumma. These are the big names who in previous seasons have been the ones taking the initiative. Now they're just ghosts. I don't know what's going on with them but they either get their acts together or they won't be starters next season imo.

For me Rino has made questionable calls. He's still in the learning process and this is another worrying issue as atm, we can't have someone learning as they go along. This isn't a Zidane type situation where he has top class players in each and every position who can pick up the tactical slack. And I don't even think that Rino is weak tactically. The improvements we've seen in certain players and the very visible improvement in general play is a testament to this. But every rookie makes mistakes. And I don't see this as a right time for us to be coached by someone who's still so green. This coming from someone who was happy when he got the renewal because he's deserved it imo. But can we afford to have him still using his training wheels while the majority of our players still have theirs on?

We were in the CL race until a few weeks ago. Why sack him if we could have made it in the Top 4? Decisions are taken in the end when an overall evaluation of the season is made.
