Id pick Carletto.

But honestly now, we are only at the start and with 11 new players on the roster. There needs to be an adjustment period. Hence you can not expect the the team to win all the time as the players are yet to form a team. Time is needed, if we get a CL spot its an achievement. it is attainable however the team and coach should be given time to adjust and from that point onwards and if they dont achieve then I'll be calling for the coach to be axed. Until then he has time.

At this rate we are not getting to a CL spot (maybe EL if we are lucky). I can (almost) understand losing to Lazio, but not losing to Samp. Even more worrisome, some of our victories against lesser teams were not all that brilliant. I understand "give the team time to learn how to play together", but how long do we keep losing to teams like Samp and barely winning against teams like Spal before we find ourselves too deep in the hole to recover?

I always figured it would take three months. So if we're still so inconsistent come early December, then I'd start to think of a change.

I'm not sure about Carletto. I've not seen him build a team from scratch ever. Actually I don't know which current coach I'd take who is actually available if we decided to part ways with Montella.

Nagelsmann? But it's too much of a cultural shock I think. We'd need a proven winner coach. We'd have to pull of the Bonucci equivalent of a shock coach landing move.

I would love to see Conte, but it looks like he is OK at Chelsea (despite an uneasy start of the season). Not sure about Carletto (he has done decently with good teams, but this is a different situation). Not overly thrilled by the other names Iwe appear to be linked with (may as well stay with Montella).

Part of me wouldn't mind Conte, just because it would really annoy the gobbi.

You call 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss an uneasy start?

We are past the "uneasy" stage now. I was referring to the first couple of weeks, when there were rumors of Conte being closed to getting sacked.

Listen, I think we should wait a little bit with Montella.

He took the blame, and at least he didn't say something like "we are improving"

I will put my cards on him. Let's who wins the bet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Each year we have the same thing..good start then we get a false hope that we are close to
ready! And we get hit when facing an organized team. Give Montella at least half the season.

So, we play in the EL against Rijeka today.

Here's the projected lineup:

Donnarumma; Musacchio, Bonucci, Romagnoli; Abate, Kessie, Locatelli, Calhanoglu, Borini; Cutrone, André Silva

I am a strong advocate of 'bring carlo back', but the fact remains this team will need time. We can not afford to look at the issue of a change when the going gets tough. We have a new team the outlook seems promising after spending +200M; as such we have to give them a good run before throwing in the towel.

We are already in a sunken hole after the past couple of years and the only way to go in the table is up, hence my argument.

Ps. We are all entitled to our points of views, just that i feel this new team hasnt been given time to gel as it is only been a month since the league started. I agree we expect better and dont want a repeat of past seasons, but this season is unlike those that passed.
