QUOTE (jefri91 @ Jun 14 2012, 12:42 AM) Just woke up and missed the 1st half but watched the highlights, when the hell did Gomez get so good? While you were sleeping, man. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) No seriously, Gomez has been my favorite striker for years now, and frankly he was very lethal in his Stuttgart days (that's when I started following him). Today? He's practically the best striker in the world, bar none. Him and Hutelaar, and then comes the overrated bunch. Of course, I am counting Ibra, CRON and friends as forwards, not pure strikers. But yeah, Gomez is the man!

Eriksen disasspointed me as well in the earlier game, didnt show the magic that he is hyped up to... And how on earth did C. Ron miss those two sitters? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) you dont see that very often. As for the Netherlands Germany game, I thought it was gonna heat up when the Dutch pulled one back.. but the Germans managed to kill the game off, smothering any dutch attack. As for Steklenberg, I think he is seriously overrated, the guy went down far too early on that second goal.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 13 2012, 06:47 PM) Is Eriksen as good as they make him to be? 75 minutes against Holland and 45 against Portugal, and all I've seen him do is make simple passes. I don't think so actually. He failed to impress me every time I watched Denmark.

The Dutch of this tournament and the one in Euro 2008 are worlds apart. Robben has been dreadful, RvP didn't do much in two games besides scoring a great goal and missing lots of chances. Sneijder is the b1tching, crybaby he's always been, Afellay is nothing special, etc etc. they don't really deserve to qualify.
But nevertheless, Portugal-Holland will become one hell of a game as both need to win to make sure they qualify (it's hard to imagine Germany will lose to Denmark). question is will that be a game of kung fu or football...

I didn't watch Portugal-Denmark, but it seems Ronaldo has had a bad game. really, how does he manage to score all those goals for his club but miss sitters, FKs, and (to make it short) underwhelm for his NT so much?
