QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 14 2023, 07:44 PM) *
We're playing 4-2-4 where one of the CMs is Pobega. What do you expect.

it's not just this game though and this time not about Pobega

We've been conceding so many goals all season. And it's been even worse without Maignan where the communication and leadership have been non-existent.

Unless we get a hold of the defence, we're going to keep dropping points.

Let's see about Lazio. These games worry me more. The Roma game was the most professional performance we've put in in a while. But once again, our inability to defend, especially on set-pieces f@cked us over.

Kjaer needs to start from now on. We need him in there. Whether that means moving Kalulu to the right or dropping him for a bit I don't know, but with Maignan out we need that someone who's going to talk back there and lead

I don't know what's wrong with Theo, maybe he needs a breather but that's the 3rd game in a row where he's been bad. And he's a player that we need to be on at all times.

The right side... Man, wtf is Pioli waiting for to try something different there? CDK played there for Brugge, and it could probably do him well to not play in the middle and be constantly crowded out. Same thing with Origi. He can play there. Just f@cking try something that is not Salad or the anti-Messia

We've regressed compared to last year, and it's all on the management. The mercato was subpar. I had high hopes for Origi and CDK, but the first one has been more injured than fit, and the second has been completely mediocre thus far.

We should have signed a top CB first of all. Botman would have been perfect. Look at the amazing season he's having at Newcastle. Placing all hopes on a youngster like Kalulu was a huge gamble.

And we needed a decent replacement for Kessie. Vranckx and Pobega were simply not the answer. I'm actually glad we didn't sign Renato Sanches cos the guy has been injured almost all season, but I still can't get over the fact we let someone like Enzo Fernandez slip away. Imagine the sheer quality increase had we signed him.

Then that right side which has been a thorn in our side ever since Suso left. Castillejo, Alexis, Messias, all garbage players. We simply don't have an alternative.

Bad, just bad.

Well guys, lets not get over our heads with Pobega. The guy is a clear placeholder and you're all making it sound like he's the new Traore. These kind of players are usually disliked here and get the worst treatment... Pobega was against Lecce one of the better players, involved in both goals for our comeback.

It is elsewhere that we have grave problems. Firstly we do not respond well to pressure and our midfield (this includes of coures Pobega) is not able to adapt and act quickly. This is something Pioli has to fix ASAP.

Secondly, we have a right fullback problem. I do think that Calabria makes a lousy captain, but the bigger issue is his pace and inability to isolate threads. Only his work upfront (which frankly is inconsistent) makes him valuable. If only Florenzi wasn't injured... for a reason Calabria has been passed by Mancini for years...

Finally you guys are right when you say the management had a very bad summer. I can't belive how we passed Enzio. With Renato Sanches I'm happy we didn't go after him because he's not consistent and would come at an iflated prize. What we should have done (and should do immideately) is to secure Kessie staying. We should go after him now and not deliver him to Inter.

Dest, Origi, CDK are big failiures. Vranckx isn't quite good enough, while Pobega has flaws that make him usefull in very limited ways. That we did not adress the second keeper question by now is a puzzle to me. Why is our management behaving like the winter transfer period is banished? Look at how Ochoa was signed for free (a keeper more capable then Tatarusanu). Even in our friendlies we tried out Mirante and concluded that he's also not trustworthy. Combined with Maignan's injury being prolonged, I'm really wondering what the heck they're doing...

The management has failed this team. We were weakened after winning the title. Simple as.

Now we desperately need a GK and another mid and they're not bringing either one in.

It's like we've forgotten the basics...

Everytime Inter break on us they're creating a good chance. While we can barely get the ball past the halfway line

Didn't watch due to some last minute change of plans, but I'm glad I saved myself the suffering.

Once again, falling behind early.

We are falling apart.

This is not even a shadow of the team we were a few months ago. If things continue in this manner, something has to change

Why is Theo on the bench? You do not bench Theo to play f@cking Dest on his weak side

And why isn't Origi being given a chance. Giroud has been a ghost

The defending has been unforgivable, and this is not just something that can be blamed on one specific player or all of them being off form.

The problems have been clear this entire season and it has gotten progressively worse. Now we're getting shut out at the other end. Our midfield is being overrun

Why have we not switched to a 4-3-3? Why is Origi not getting a look? Why is CDK being frozen out? Why is Theo sitting out such an important game when the alternative is Dest?

Pioli has lost the plot. And I have defended him a lot and he's done some amazing work. But things have clearly spiralled over the past few weeks.

Origi is a joke. But yes, I don't get why Pioli is trying constantly the same when it is evident that we're not working.

Calabria and Kalulu horrible again today.
