MILAN - Four Champions League semi-finals in the last five years. First up it was Inter, then PSV Eindhoven, then Barcelona and last but not least the date with Manchester United is fast approaching. The only regret over this period is not having met Porto in the 2004 semi-finals. However, if indeed there was a mistake made in that match it would be Milan's only one over a five year period and that is not something to be passed over in a top level competition like the Champions League.

Year after year, Milan have held their own in Europe to confirm that they are the top Italian side. No one in Italy and not even in Europe, has done what the Rossoneri have done over the last 20 years in the Champions Cup and Champions League. The Rossoneri boast an impressive four victories in the final (two with Sacchi and one apiece with Capello and Ancelotti), seven finals and nine semi-finals. And we couldn't agree more with what Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport-Stadio said when they wrote 'Seven finals in Europe in the last 20 years is amazing. It gives the sense of an absolute and stately power. Europe is another world and Milan command that world.'

The European rankings just go to confirm what we have always said, Milan are second to none:

Team Team Points
MILAN 107
Barcelona 103
Real Madrid 96
Inter 90
Juventus 85
Liverpool 85
Arsenal 81
Manchester United 80
Valencia 71
Olympique Lyon 73

(Milan have collected the following point totals over these five seasons: 19 in 2001-2002 after the UEFA Cup semi-final against Borussia Dortmund, 26 in 2002-2003 with the Champions League victory over Manchester United, 14 in 2003-2004 with a place in the quarter-finals, 27 in 2004-2005 after the final in Istanbul against Liverpool, 21 in 2005-2006 after the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona).

And with this year's run and Barca, Real and Inter going out so early we'll move farther away from them.

But the 02/03 points will get slashed off so it might even out, unless we win the CL again this season which is highly unlikely

Well we'll see.

If we are able to get past Man U then Chelsea or Liverpool await. It's very tough.

Chelsea have been very lucky, they score relly late goals at times, and then they are very determined, like against Valencia. ~But they can play like sh!t at times and still win.

And Liverpool just bring back old scars.

I can see us passing United and then it' s only one game in which (we know this better than anyone) anything can happen. If it's Liverpool just think about amount of motivation our players will have for the sweet revenge. Chelsea will be tougher but nothing that we can't handle

I'm even more afraid of Chelsea, just the idea of Sheva scoring on us (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It would really be painful, even if we are winning by something like 4 goals (wishful think here) and it's the last kick of the game and he scores the goal it would still hurt

As misha said I don't think he would have any problem with it.

The only guys that would be left hurt by it are the fans, certainly not him

My opinion is that he feels something for this team... we might even find out.

I can't imagine what would happen to him if we both go to the final and he chokes.

The media over there would slay him

Well he virtually can... I don't think he'd throw away a chance if he had it. The thing is, does he have the guts to face Milan in a Champions League final?... If he scored I would expect him not to celebrate the occasion... he would really disappoint me if he did.
