Sky reported today that Pioli is considering starting Rebic.
By the way, looks like we're close to being acquired by RedBird Capital. Offer is 1.3 billion, Elliott will maintain a minority shareholding and may gain an additional 500m when they decide to exit. Investcorp has pulled back.
Yeah, saw that re Rebic. Either way, I trust Pioli's decisions.
Yeah, saw the RedBird stuff. We'll see how it will unfold, I think things will remain very similar to what they are now under Elliot under their management, maybe a bit more in terms of budget but there won't be any splashes.

I don't think with Investcorp it would have been any different. People just got crazy because Investcorp are arabs, and they link arabs to ManCity and PSG.
To spend excessive money you need to justify your expenses. ManCity and PSG have been able to do so via shaddy sponsorship deals, mainly because they are indirecty owned by royal families and sovereign wealth funds. Investcorp is an asset management company that needs to answer to their investors first. Maybe it was only acting as a satellite on behalf of Mudabala, but we'll never know.
Anyway, RedBird are specialised in sports investments, and I trust Elliott's judgement.
Agreed. Investcorp from what I read are similar to RedBird in terms of the function of the company. Which is investment. I think that as long as the transition is seamless and the current management team is kept, it won't really effect the club that much, no matter who the new owners are.
