The Milan #10 will play. The Milan #10 is awesomeness! cool.gif All bow down to the Dutch master. The slayer of Liverani. Loyal knight to the order of the Diavoli. The vengeful striking hammer of Lord Carletto. The magician monk, the poet warrior, the Zee Man!

Today's training has taken place.

It was bucketing all through training, which consisted of warmups, drills and practice games.

Beckham, Bonera, Borriello and Antonini trained separately in the gym. Pippo worked on a series of sprints. Nesta did a few minutes of running.

RINO TRAINED WITH THE TEAM. 96.gif 96.gif 96.gif

Imagine Rino returning and helping the team win the Scudetto, on Paolo's last season, one of those dramatic last game twists... cry.gif

Don't tell me Pato is going to miss this game as well? cry.gif

Posted by: Tennie Apr 29 2009, 12:30 PM

Today there are two training sessions.

This morning was devoted to individual work.

Shevchenko e Darmian ran in the woods;

Ronaldinho e Seedorf did a series of (I think it's translated as) running stairs;

Kakà, Jankulovski e Flamini ran laps around the central pitch;

Ambrosini e Pirlo worked on the raised camp at the side of the gym;

Mattioni, Thiago Silva, Cardacio e Senderos did some rapidity and technique exercises with Tassotti and Galli;

Antonini, Bonera e Pato worked on changing directions and technical exercises on the raised pitch;

Maldini, Favalli e Zambrotta worked in the sand pit;

Beckham, after some work in the sand pit, worked in the gym;

Kalac, Gattuso, Viudez, Abbiati, Kaladze, Nesta, Borriello worked in the gym.

--

zeddie, given the fact that Pato is training with the rest of the guys and not in the gym leads me to think that he'll be available to play.

Posted by: Zed.D Apr 29 2009, 12:38 PM

I hope so. thanks for the update.

Afternoon training has taken place. There were warmups, drills, and practice games. During the final practice game, the primavera keeper Perucchini was in one of the goals.

Pato and Gattuso trained with the team.

Kalac and Zambrotta trained in the gym.

I don't think so, zeddie, though it might be possible he'd come on briefly. The talk has half been about him maybe being back for the Gobbi game, which is the one after this.

Not too long ago, our Brazilian contingent were a quartet - since halved - of role models. Since then, we've hosted a bunch of partyboy maroons (don't think I need to name names) who can't keep it in their pants, with only one of them having produced anything on the pitch on a consistent basis.

That being said, I think I'll jump off a bridge if we wind up signing Adriano.

Don't take it the wrong way, Miz, but you'll have to name names (if you please) and back up your claims with a reliable proof (if you please).

EDIT, I may be the only one but I didn't dislike Pato's new looks at all! I definitely like it better than when he let's his hair grow to a point where it looks like an afro. besides, it will be back to normal faster than you can imagine (unless he wants to keep it this way)

Today's training has taken place.

Daniele Bonera (finally!) took place in practice.

After warmups, the team divided in two:

Jankulovski, Bonera, Senderos, Shevchenko, Beckham, Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Zambrotta e Ambrosini worked on a series of (climbs? I think. There are some hills on the training ground).

Thiago Silva, Darmian, Seedorf, Pato, Mattioni, Favalli, Kakà e Maldini did a series of 10 meter sprints.

Rino Gattuso e Filippo Inzaghi worked on agility exercises and exercises with the (?) low obstacles.

After all this fun, there were practice games. Bonera took part in the first 2 of 3.

The three keepers Dida, Kalac e Perucchini trained as usual with the goalkeeping staff.

Cardacio e Borriello trained in the gym.

Nesta, Antonini e Abbiati did separate training.

I don't think he will, Ry. He may play some minutes though -- he's been out for so long that there's no way he could be match fit.

Ancelotti has given his prematch press conference.

Highlights:
* The lineup will be mostly the same as against Palermo, except that Janku will play in place of Flamini (who's suspended).
* There's a doubt as to whether Pato or Seedorf will play up front.
* Nesta, Borriello and Kaladze are recuperating but won't be ready or available for the end of the season.
* Rino is almost ready to return and could be used for the last two games of the season. He should be available to Italy for the Confederations Cup this summer.
* Ronaldinho is in good shape but he doesn't fit easily into the lineup that's gotten some very good results.
* Shevchenko hasn't played much but has been a good professional this year.
* Borriello is unsellable.
* If Gourcuff returns, Ancelotti would be content. He's done well with Bordeaux and has matured.

Maybe you're right and Pato is still not fully fit, but I'd still prefer a 1 leged Pato over Seedorf any day of the week.
But that's just my oppinnion. And in any case, if we go with the xmas tree and Pato really is not 100% fit, then there is Ronaldinho, who is infact an attacking mid and can play in the xmas tree unlike Seedorf who does nothing but slow every play we build up.

I think this would be a fairly simple decision to make, only Carlo would choose Seedorf in that position over either Dinho or Pato

Regarding the line-up my choice would be (considering Pato not being fully fit)

Zambro--Maldini--Favall0i--Janku
Becks--Pirlo--Ambro
Kaka--Dinho
Pippo

For me, this line-up basically picks itself out considering recent performances...

The day Carlo leaves i'll be good..He doesn't know how to make everyone happy the way Guardiola does...Basically some players are more important than others and that is not supposed to be the case....Everyone should play maine..I'm tired of saying these things over and over...Now tomorrow we hae Catania, we need pato cuz we'll be more dangerous with Kaka pato and Inzaghi upfront cuz Seedorf has nothing to offer upfront...Also i'll rather put Zambrotta on the left and Antonini on the right!!!

Posted by: Tennie May 2 2009, 04:26 PM

I also think that Ancelotti is looking ahead -- next week we have the Gobbi. Even if it's at the San Siro, it's not goign to be an easy game. After that, it's Udine, Roma, and Fiorentina. if there's a doubt as to Pato's match fitness, this is the game to hold him out of. We're going to need him the rest of the run in.

kenny, do you have any basis for your statement that ancelotti doesn't make everyone happy and guardiola does?

FYI, Antonini isn't available. Check the call up list. smile.gif He's still injured.

sorry i didn't check the call ups but u get my point...He doesn't make everyone satisfied...Its called rotation...Same squad in and out...its just not fair to the other players...They all have contracts with Milan but Carlo doesn't play them...Concerning pato i guess ur right..however, its not fair at all...Guardiola knows how to rotate and at least every squad player has played almost 13-15 games...Here its pirlo champions league, uefa, cup, scudetto, this that...even take a look at real madrid...u know its not all the games that Robben plays or Marcelo plays or even Higuain plays...We need to really impose rotation...i think we've played d same line up for like 3 wks straight d only diff being when pato got injured and now flamini suspended...i mean i'm just saying

I personally have no problem with him playing with the same players when they are performing well, especially now that our schedule is light and we don't have midweek games. My problem is Carlo insisting on Seedorf when there is Dinho on the bench, who is an actual attacking mid, that can play in that particular position better then Seedorf ever will. If a position opened up in the midfield 3 Carlo wouldn't be considering who to play there, Seedorf would get the obvious nod, which is perfectly alright since he is an actual midfielder, but to play him ahead of Dinho next to Kaka is ridiculous when there is Dinho available.

As for Antonini and Zambro, if Antonini were available then he should play on the left and Zambro on the right not the other way around, I think we've all seen that particular 'tactic' (if you want to call it that) fail one too many times

I completely agree with you, and I know I'm repeating myself, but why play Seedorf ahead of Ronaldinho in that particular position? Alright, Pato should absolutely not be playing if not 100% fit, agreed, but Dinho if fit, has been playing well in the few measly minutes he's been getting and yet Seedorf keeps getting worse with every match he is still given the start in yet he's the only one that is considered for the first 11. I don't see how any of you think that's logical on Carlo's part. His favouritsm towards Seedorf is clearly clouding his judgment in this area. And I'm not saying this because I'm anti Carlo or anthing like that, but it comes from the frustration I have towards Seedorf after seeing him play week in week out and playing like he doesn't give a cr@p and yet Carlo still picks him.

I know I always say that he favoures him, but sometimes I think that Carlo is afraid to bench Seedorf because he knows he will cause problems, so he wants to avoid any type of confrontation. Carlo has always struck me as someone who shies away from a fight...

QUOTE (Tennie @ May 2 2009, 03:48 PM) *

Exactly, that's why I would never come on here and say Pippo or Pirlo or Flamini should not be playing every week. It would be ridiculous on my part. The system is clearly working as it is, but with that being said, it's clearly working IN SPIGHT of having Seedorf on the pitch evry week

That's been my explanation for this all along. Let's not kid ourselves; Carlo isn't playing Seedorf because he actually likes the guy.

As much as I don't rate R80 I would sooner play him over the now useless Seedorf. IMO Seedorf should be thankful just to be on the bench, I can't remember the last time he dominated a game like he used to. Playing Seedorf is very similar to playing with ten men.

^^ Hee hee...that's very good. biggrin.gif

I always felt Seedorf played, because he was the only box-to-box available in the team. If Ronaldinho had showed any inclination to drop back and fight for the ball (Kaka, Pato and Borriello) do it, then it would be fine. He's still in La Liga mode.

Seedorf has completely sucked attacking wise for the past 10 games or so. But in the match against Palermo, I thought it was an important role he played helping Ambro keep Liverani in check. R80 wouldn't last 10 minutes if given a job like that.

These kind of trivial things might have an impact on the match. I don't think we have a strong enough mid-field where we can free all 4 of our attackers from defensive duty. I also feel Pirlo's play improves a lot with Seedorf, since Seedorf also helps cut spaces. While if R80 is playing, then Pirlo goes back to that DM role, instead of the playmaker role.

But that's the way I see it, and my affection for Seedorf might be clouding my judgement.

I don't know which game you were watching Jack, but the one I was watching I saw Seedorf jogging around the center of the pitch everytime Palermo were on the attack. Pippo and Pato usually try to help defend better then him. I've never seen him willingly fight for balls, not even the ones he loses, and lets face it, he loses more balls then he plays in his current state of form.

I get where you're coming from in saying that he is unique to the team in what he does, personally I feel that when he does play in his position (in the midfield 3) he plays a lot better and contributes far more to the team, no matter what for he is in. But he is not an attacking mid and when he does play that high up the pitch his flaws come out 10 fold.

Dinho would be far more suited to that position, because it is HIS actual position, and I've seen him fight for balls in our matches, but no one sees those things because Dinho is always automatically labeled as lazy no matter what he does. If you have any tapes of past games one with Seedorf playing as an attacking mid and one with Dinho playing in that position, really look at what each of them bring to the game without your Clarence tinted glasses ( tongue.gif ) and you will see that Dinho is far better suited for playing that position and we suffer when Seedorf is the one playing there.

Seedorf is 60% certain to play while Pato is 40%

Posted by: Zed.D May 3 2009, 10:32 AM

Seedorf should be thankful Carlo is the coach. I doubt any other coach would give him more than a bench role/occasional appearances. when Carlo leaves, Seedorf's Milan career will most probably end as well. I think one more season and he's off. he can't continue playing until he's 35 anyway...

Overall I think changing the coach at the end of the season is a very good idea. Maldini and a few others will retire, and Carlo's favorites will have to step aside from the regular lineup as well meaning a mini revolution would happen which is very much needed at Milan. hope we don't waste yet another season thinking we can get anywhere like this.

Catania - Kosicky; Silvestri, Silvestre, Stovini, Capuano; Carboni, Biagianti, Izco; Mascara; Martinez, Morimoto.

Milan - Dida; Zambrotta, Maldini, Favalli, Jankulovski; Beckham, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf; Kakà, Inzaghi.

Forza Milan! cool.gif

No Pato, very old squad (I bet the age average is somewhere near 30). don't like it much but Forza Milan anyway.

EDIT: OMG it's 33.2 ohmy.gif ohmy.gif that's probably the highest in the history of football. seriously.

As expected Seedorf gets the nod over Pato or Dinho...

Well i hope his fitness was a factor to leaving Pato out of the starting 11.Not because Carlo thinks Seedorf is better.

Neither,i see this one as a draw.

Won't be as convincing as recent weeks

Posted by: han2503 May 3 2009, 01:39 PM

^^^

Exactly

We're going to labour through this one. Last week the score line flattered us thanks to the penalties, this week we won't have that type of luck, we're losing Flamini's energy from that right side and he's been replaced by the rapidly declining Jankulovski, Seedorf like last week is again in the line up, set out to ruin every decent play we build up and this time the ref won't help us.

Hopefully if we're struggling by half time Carlo will get his head out of his @ss and bring on Dinho and Pato

0-1 HT.

That was not a penalty by Favalli there, I think it was a good decision not to give it as he was too close to the player who took the shot and even twisted his body so it was completely involuntary.

edit: we should have scored at the counter after that it was a bad miss by Inzaghi and maybe Pirlo hold on to the ball a bit more than he ought to.

we won everything with this system! the champiopns league , everything with Albero di Natale system...

We are playing very very well, pirlo give as tempo like he needed to do from august but...

Posted by: han2503 May 3 2009, 02:51 PM

We kept the ball very well in the first half, especially after we scored, we're making the Catania players huff and puff which is what we want to be doing so they won't have the energy for a fight back. All in all I think we're making it look pretty easy, but would like to see us actually attack with more intent rather then try going through the wall of player and getting blocked each time. Would really like to see Pato or Dinho in the second half.

I think either one of them would help us a bit more with the attacking plays. Seedorf is so and so, so far he's not done anything wrong but still our attack could be much better without him in it

Posted by: dst May 3 2009, 02:52 PM

We won the CL with this system because of Kaka not because of the xmas tree, let's not kid ourselves now...

As for the match we didn't start well, in fact Catania were the better team, then we scored because of a piece of genius by Kaka and Pippo's finishing and took control of the midfield.

Still think that we would do better if we put in Pato or Ronnie.

And when I talk about the 'system' I'm more referring to Seedorf playing as an attacking midfielder more then anything else, he's just not good enough to play in that position, no matter what Carlo says

i believe so

Club P G W D L
Inter Milan 77 34 23 8 3
Milan 70 34 21 7 6
Juventus 65 33 19 8 6
Fiorentina 58 33 18 4 11
Genoa 57 33 16 9 8
Roma 52 33 15 7 11
Cagliari 49 33 14 7 12

13 point gap...4 games remaining after this round is done

So yeh if they lose we qualify 100%

Even if we lose the rest of our remaining games it's unlikely Genoa will beat us on goal difference

Ancelotti hails new Milan Sunday 3 May, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carlo Ancelotti hopes Milan can continue this level of performance next season, but warns Scudetto dreams are a utopia for now.

The Rossoneri notched up their seventh win in eight games with a 2-0 away to Catania and maintained the gap from leaders Inter at seven points.

“We are not thinking of the top spot, but rather keeping ourselves clear of fourth position. We need four points to make that secure in four games,” said the Coach.

Thanks to Juventus' 2-2 draw with Lecce, they have extended their advantage in second to four points.

“I am very realistic. We are playing well, get to train all week and that shows on the field at the weekend.

“We will have to remember how we work now and take that on through next season.

“Inevitably there are regrets about what we could have achieved this year, but everyone knows the injury problems we had.”

The rumours that Ancelotti is set to join Chelsea continue apace with reports Roman Abramovich's yacht was spotted off the coast of Sicily ahead of today's game.

“That's all we need!” laughed the tactician. “Watch out in case Abramovich's helicopter swoops down to take me away laugh.gif

Had it not been for Casillas, Barca would have ended the game with a two-digit number in front of their name on the scoresheet. there was not much he could have done on any of the goals (maybe only on the 1st goal but then again he saved another 4-5). the defensive line in front of him was brutally bad.

Here are datasport's ratings.

Dida 6.5 Impegnato pochissimo, quando è chiamato in causa non soffre particolarmente ed interviene con efficacia. [Rarely called on, but when he is, he doesn't suffer particularly and intervenes with efficiency.]

Bonera s.v. Non giudicabile. [not judgable]

Jankulovski 6.5 Molto reattivo sia in fase di copertura sia in avanti dove si propone con buona continuità sfruttando la fascia sinistra. [Very reactive in coverage as well as going forward where he shows good continuity on the left.]

Maldini 6.5 Pulito ed efficace in difesa. Nel primo tempo colpisce bene di testa indirizzando verso la porta siciliana, sulla linea Izco gli nega la gioia del gol. [Efficient in defense. In the first time a good header that was saved off the line by Izco.]

Favalli 6.5 Ottimo in fase di copertura, non sbaglia praticamente nulla. Solo nel primo tempo una sua deviazione di testa manda il pallone sul palo facendo tremare i tifosi rossoneri. Emozionante. [Optimal in coverage, hardly mistakes a thing. only in the first half was the hand to ball that worried the rossoneri fans.]

Zambrotta 7 Vivacissimo sulla fascia destra dove agisce in tandem con Beckham arrivando spesso al cross. Battagliero in difesa non concede nulla agli attaccanti di casa. [Very lively on the right where he works in tandem with Beckham providing a lot of crosses.]

Felipe s.v. Non giudicabile. [Not judgable.]

Pirlo 6 Gara ordinata per il metronomo rossonero. Detta con calma e tranquillità i tempi della squadra. [Good game by the rossoneri metronome. Provides calm and tranquility to the team's timing.]

Seedorf 6 Giostra a metà campo ora interdicendo ora impostando e sempre facendo valere la sua enorme esperienza. [ Merry go round at midfield now interceding now imposing and always showing his enormous experience.]

Beckham 7 Propulsivo e dinamico sulla fascia destra dove sventaglia una serie di precisi cross in mezzo con parabole che sembrano disegnate. Artista puro. [Propulsive and dynamic on the right where he puts in a series of precise crosses with angles that seem designed. Pure artist.]

Ambrosini 6.5 Ottima gara in fase d'interdizione. Un mastino insuperabile che non molla mai la presa. [Optimal game in the interdiction phase. An impassible mastiff who never gives up pressing.]

Incantevole. [When he's having a good day you can't stop him even if you try. Provides a delicious assist to Inzaghi for the first goal and then has a tap in in the second. If his attempt at the 67th had gone in it would have been a perfect game for him. Enchanting.]

Pato s.v. Non giudicabile. [Not judgable]

Goleador. [Yes, he misses the easiest things. But it's also true that as opportunist, gambler and bomber, there's nobody like him. In the first half he latches onto a magical assist from Kaka and scores the goal that puts Milan ahead.]

Don't understand how you can actually compare Boriello with Eto'o, Boriello has never been an integral part of the team, so we can't say whether we've missed him or not this season since he's never actually got a consistant run in the squad. Sure he scored 2 goals in his 3 games, but who's to say those weren't a fluke and he would be another Gila for us and would have basically done nothing?

So to say that we missed having Boriallo to me is a ridiculous excuse and assumption, he's definately not our Eto'o that's for sure. His total season wipe out through injury confirms to me that we actually made a mistake in spending all that money on a player that we had been shopping around Serie A for years.

How come Pirlo gets the low rating yet Becks gets a 7??

Beckham was really bad today, bad passing, bad crossing, which basically means he did nothing right when it comes to him, yet Pirlo was on top of his game today, he controled the midfield with ease and basically was the architect of everyone of our plays. Cr@p ratings imo.

Posted by: I_Rossoneri May 3 2009, 08:35 PM

I agree Han, I thought Becks was poor today(judging from his usual high standards).

Anyway great performance today, it seems we're starting to really click now - just a shame it's too late! Still, if we can continue this form until the end of the season it will be a nice platform to start next season.

I've got to give respect to Catania as well, it would have been easy for them to sit with ten behind the ball(like chelsea and the majority of 'smaller' Serie A sides), but they did try to attack. Their assistant manager was full of praise for Milan as well. I wish them all the luck for the rest of the season and hope they retain Serie A status for next season.

And one more thing...Pippo Inzaghi! What a player!!!!! cool.gif

Something to take note of, Ceseare Maldini was asked about some tactical issues post match on Jazeera sport about Ronaldinho & Gourcuff's lack of play at Milan ... His response was that Milan plays in a certain way that serves the best for certain players - more balanced. When both players were fielded they either take a left side position in midfield or partner Kaka' behind the striker. Both failed to hold that position and that is why Carlo prefers Seedorf who has a better understanding with the midfield and attack than the previous two. Carlo played them in Seedorf's position(s), because he wanted them to replace him in the near future in that formation, hence the choices that the coach had taken.

But he does feel that Ronaldinho has a better chance come next season than the French.

Ronaldinho while playing in that position was probably the single reason we didn't go down to mid table...

Of course Cesera Maldini will always defend Carlo's choices, because him and his son are 'those' kind of guys, they're too gracious and noble for their own good. You think Seedorf actually gives us balance by playing the attacking mid role?? All he does is unbalance our plays with his bad passing and slow movement. Sure Kaka and Dinho tend to both drift to the left at times, but lets not forget the countles times they assisted each other...

Let's not make excuses for Carlo's fascination with Seedorf. There is no reason what-so-ever why he should be on the pitch ahead of Pato and Dinho, simple as that.

The competition should be between him and Becks, Becks has been having up and down performances and Seedorf needs some competition to get his blood flowing again. It's simple really, Seedorf has no business being considered for a role he cannot play in. But this is Carlo's Milan so un-just things like this will continue to occur until he is no longer with us

THERE’S ONLY ONE RICKY

5/3/2009 7:04:00 PM

With four matchdays to go before the end of the season, one away from the direct clash against Juventus, there is now a four point advantage over the Bianconeri. General manager Adriano Galliani enjoys the moment, the game and Ricky Kaka.

CATANIA – These are the declarations of the Rossoneri’s general manager, Adriano Galliani, at the end of Catania-Milan 0-2:

“It was a nice win, we played really well and it’s not a coincidence that we play like this since we have fully recovered Ricky Kaka. The injuries weigh in the moment in which the substitutes don’t play well, that is on the same level of those who they substitute. I would say that Dida, Favalli, Maldini and Beckham, each one of them, substituted very well those who, during the season were forced to stop. However, there’s only one Riccardino... In fact in the seven games that Kaka did not play, we only obtained six points: a relegation average. And now let’s think about Juventus.”

Atalanta (won)

Despite all the Kaka has sucked this season (which is true to an extent), this clearly shows we were still dependent on him.

Playing a LB at LB is not out of position. That he wasn't good enough to play there since he couldn't do both duties effectively is the point. So they moved him into a position where he could be of some use. But the fact is when you spend so much money for a LB you need a LB, not a LM. Sure, Vargas might turn out to be great at playing LM, but then the hole the Viola have at the LB spot still remains to be filled.

Big match against Juve. But with the merda win against Lazio, we can say goodbye to the scudetto. I hope we cut their lead to under 5 points though. So I think it's important we win. Juve are going through the same phase we were when they met us. The tables have turned completely, and I hope we use it to our advantage. We've got huge games coming up, but all our opponents are at their weakest so that's a silver lining. Would be great to win all of our remaining games, and hopefully take that momentum with us.

If we look like genuine title challengers, we might even be more attractive when shopping for players. Especially from within Serie A.

That is your opinion, great smile.gif

I was just stating that while watching the post match debate Ceseare stated his own opinion. Which you can take either way, but bear in mind you are talking about a former coach who knows a thing or two about tactics and who deals with the club first hand. He was not in anyway praising Seedorf.

He was actually answering a question of: 'Why Carlo doesn't field Ronaldinho and didn't field Gourcuff ?'

If anything, I think what he is saying is Milan doesn't need Ronaldinho or Gourcuff, Milan needs a modern player who can fit into that position; e.g. Gerrard.

I wouldn't call Fiorentina and Udine at their weakest right now. I think considering Roma's and Juve's form, those 2 are going to be our toughest opponents.

And agreed, Scudetto was lost a long time ago but coming within a few points of Inter in second will look a hell of a lot better then barely making 4th.

Aside from being a coach Maldini Sr. is a Milan legen and fan, so ofcourse he will always look at things positively from Carlo's perspective. There's just no other direction I could see him going in. He would never say a negative thing about a present Milan coach especially on national television, he's too classy for that and I think you would agree with me on this.

I'm not saying that he was praising Seedorf but that he is defending Carlo's tactics and motives, and he will always do that simply because he is the person that he is. Regarding getting a box-to-box man for that position next to Kaka, (if that is the position we are talking about here?) I would have to disagree completely, someone like Gerrard who drives the team from the midfield would simply be wasted in that posotion. That position is dedicated to an attacking midfielder, something Ronaldinho is. and the system was working fine until Dinho got injured, he is the man for that position not Seedorf or a Gerrard type player. Now if you're talking about the midfield 3 next to Pirlo and the defensive midfielder, then I would agree completely with you.

Seedorf is not good enough anymore. And I don't even know what to pin it on, whether it's the motivation or the fact that he is getting old and can't keep playing at a high level anymore. He is not a Maldini that can transform himself into a center back in order to prolong himself, and neither is he a Pippo Inzaghi, someone that relies on istinct rather then physical power. Seedorf is all about his movement, strength and skill and lately he has shown that he has declined a significant amount in all of these areas

Not that simple to Carlo apparently...

We'll see what he does against Juve and then we can judge.

X-mas tree against Juve no doubt.

I think if Pato is fit, he might play both Pato and Pippo. They are working really well together, and are both in decent touch.

However I won't be too surprised if we play 2 DMs to counter the threats of Camoranesi and Nedved. It's the defence that worries me. Especially with Amauri back.

That is what I'm saying, if he doesn't play Pato against Juve and plays Seedorf instead we'll know for sure that it has nothing to do with Ronaldinho and Kaka not working well together and all to do with Seedorf.

As for the 2 DM, I hope not, we need Flamini on at RB and Zambro at LB, Ambro seems to have regained his touch back in midfield and is doing great work. I don't want to see us disrupt that. Imo best formation to go out with against Juve would be

Flamini--Paolo--Favalli--Zambro
Becks--Pirlo--Ambro
Kaka
Pippo--Pato

But as you said Carlo will probably go for something along these lines

Zambro--Paolo--Favalli--Janku
Flamini--Pirlo--Ambro
Kaka--Seedorf
Pippo
