All I have to say about this is at least it's on loan and we're only paying half his wages

Also, apparently there's no option to buy. So I'm thinking they brought him in as a stop gap before Ibra joins for free next summer and as a sign of good will to Raiola

So, this is 'his last chance at a big club'.

So, the fifth 'last chance' he's had, huh.

I will add this. If (and he won't) IF he CAN sort his head out and apply himself then he IS a very good player on his day. A little over rated but capable of some great play. If he was to have the right attitude this time I wouldn't be totally disgusted.

That said, he won't, because he's a fud. A Fanni, if you like.

Nah, maybe he will maybe not. But look at our team. You see attitude and mentality problems. To solve this you bring in strong players to help the rest, not special nutcases like Balotelli.

That's what Mihajlovic is there for. You f*ck around, you're out. But that's beside the point.

Up until now I don't see mentality improvements, whereas Miha said he'd be fine with Balotelli. So...

It is. He seems to have zero tolerance for nonsense, or non-professional attitudes. Or discipline issues.

We'll find out in time if he can turn the team round into a decent formation and unit, but at least on the dressing room front he's strict.

Someone did suggest playing Balo as the treq, much in the guise I suggested Ibra would. Problem is Balo isn't half the intelligence of Zlatan so I can't see him playing in the hole.

I just cannot see why we've brought in yet another striker.

Adriano, Bacca, Cerci, Niang, Matri and now Balo. The one position we're well equipped in and we take in another?!

I didn't intend about mentality, but about what Danny wrote above.

Yeah, then why get him in the first place? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) He is incapable of change, and even if he does behave for a few months, his bank will probably break by January and Balo will be back to what he does best. Disrupt things.

It's literally the most idiotic signing we've made in my entire Milan-supporting lifetime.

And we've made some absolute corkers in that time. This beats the lot.

Agreed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Impossible to fathom something like this at the start of the transfer season. The thought never crossed my mind that we would be signing him back, not after how we parted ways. Besides, it's not we have a good track record with this, almost all players that returned after we sold them were shadows of their past.

One way or another, Sheva (Ancelotti finished him off) and Kaka (injuries did him in) recent examples.

But Sheva and Kaka at least had a sweet Milan history and went for big money away. Balo is a completely different level - we only recently got rid of him!

Knowing that (based on the facts and news that we have been reading recently):

1. Niang is injured for months
2. We are playing with a 2 striker system and that means that we need to have at least 4 strikers ready
3. Matri is not someone who we really like to see playing and we have a consensus that Balotelli is better
4. Balotelli doesnt negate Ibra, if Ibra came he will/would be playing behind 2 strikers
5. We are not paying any $ for his loan
6. We are paying only 50% of his wages
7. If he doesnt give his 100% he wont play
8. If he doesnt behave he will get sent back to where he came

Then I say, I dont know why all the grief about transferring him. I am quite happy and I welcome Balotelli. I dont care if I am the only one to be like this but I predict he will have a decent season. Hopefully we got a buy out clause for him.

True. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Though I'm not sure big money was the primary reasons behind their transfers. The management simply wanted to cash out on both, and at the very least, did not do much to try and convince them to stay. There were other factors too, and while their returns were less than stellar, this is not something that can be compared to Balo.

He is a wholly different animal, his affinity for Milan withstanding.
