Finally getting a chance to watch today's games. Veloso really was rather impressive. But the Portuguese goalie....I believe the right word in Portuguese is 'frango'. Oy. It'd be nice if the youth setups could produce a goalie and striker or two instead of a succession of world-class wingers.
The Dutch looked pretty good, as one would expect. The Israelis looked good, but just weren't able to put away the chances they had. The Belgians...man. Bunch of thugs, that lot. |

Waterman had a back injury, I think.
Speaking of keepers, it looks like Curci is definitely out of tomorrow's Italy-England game. His injury is 'being evaluated'. |

I'll see that as good news for us.
They don't even need a keeper with the way we played in the first game, even the penalty was a complete miss. I'm not too sure how I want the Serbia - Czech game to go, whichever result will benefit both England and Italy, I wouldn't like to see either miss out on the olympics. Ashley Young = England best player.

We were like United and Liverpool of the 19th century.
