You could always watch free streaming. SopCast is very good in that aspect. That's what I do in Copenhagen.

Yes, I'll try. I had a lot of trouble with a lot of the streaming options not working for more than a few minutes, but I had a real dinosaur of a computer so that was probably at least part of the problem. I have a new computer now so maybe I'll be able to.

Not that I was ever a huge contributor, but I just want to pop my head in and say I'm still here!

Maybe it's good timing on my eyes, but starting last season I couldn't watch very many games because BeInSport took over Serie A broadcasting in the USA from Fox Soccer, and I don't feel it's a good use of my limited money to buy the "ultimate" package on my dish to get every station. So without watching games, I don't really have much to contribute. I still lurk though because much like I used this forum as a "Milan 101" when I started becoming a fan of the club and the sport in general, I now use it as a way to keep up with what's going on with the club because any coverage here like ESPN is awful.

I'm from Chicago. When we pick a team, we don't run to other teams when the chips are down!

Really? This is too good to be true. There isn't any kind of "April Fool's" type day in Italy on July 16, is there?

lol...it's an absurd decision, but with or without Donovan, even if he was in his prime at top form, there's no chance for us to make it through that group.

(unless Germany and Ghana both sustain team-wide heat-stroke from that matchup and can't recover in time for their next matches...)

4th place/ 1pt below 3rd place....... even with 6 defeats is quite impressive. Imagine we had zee for the 1st 19 games.
If only i could fire Galliani for sticking with Allegri even when Roma wanted him so bad

And if Allegri was managing Roma they'd certainly be worse than they were, so...a full season of Seedorf + Allegri @ Roma = Milan still in the Champions League...

No doubt Seedorf should stay on. Being a guy with no experience coming in and giving new life into a sinking ship certainly is deserving of getting a full season to continue his progress.

If Allegri really was that flippant about almost choking away a 4-0 aggregate at Arsenal, it explains quite a bit doesn't it?

I'm excited to see what happens. I think Clarence will be a fine coach in time, but I am sure there will be a learning curve, and with our current team, there will be struggles.

What's he talking about? Phil Jackson doesn't meditate, he smokes weed! Unless that what he means.

I think he does both. (maybe at the same time?) He's well known, at least here in Chicago, for his practice of Zen Buddhism. He's written several books, but the one I've read, called Sacred Hoops, talks especially about the first Bulls years, and how he got the players to buy into some of his Zen Buddhist practices. Fascinating book, well worth the read even for those who aren't basketball fans.

If Seedorf wants to pick his brain for ideas, that tells me good things about the effort Seedorf plans to put into his coaching career.

3 points! (haven't gotten to say that in awhile)

Bottom line, we get to control our own destiny in the final match, and it's at home. If we bounce out, we'll have no excuses.

No what's unacceptable is intimidating people. I don't know if they actually did that but that's how they usually work so if it's true then they can all go **** themselves.

+1

No amount of losing validates this kind of behavior. They can and should voice their displeasure in the stands with chants and banners, but after the match is done the players are simply people like everyone else.

I find it odd that 400 people can block all of the exits to a large stadium. Either San Siro has only a few exits for some reason or the security and police is really terrible to let handfuls of people take over several areas.

Of course, Allegri is not the only problem, but he can only be accountable for the things he can control. Some of these things include:

- Terrible substitutions
- Strategic failures
- Alienating players from the team
- Constantly starting the wrong players such as Muntari, Urby, etc.
- A squad that looks unmotivated and disinterested
- Possible poor training methods that lead to a disproportionate number of injuries

These aren't just from this year either. There's a pattern of these problems with Allegri at the helm. They were easier to ignore when we finish 1st, 2nd, and rally to finish 3rd. Can they be excused now?

If a team underperforms, which translates into the players underperforming, then it's simply the coach's fault. It can't be seen any other way.

+1

Galliani may have turned this club from CL contenders to Europe league material, but it certainly isn't relegation-fight material, which is where we are at, about 30% into the season now. This is not just one of those slow starts we've become accustomed to. We're extremely lucky with some late-match goals to even be where we are.

This is an away game, we're getting booed every-time we touch the ball. The FA ladies & gentleman.

Do you guys always play your home games at Wembley? Is there some other place they could play that wouldn't have had as much "away" feel? Here in the US it got to the point that your description fit exactly the atmosphere when we'd play Mexico in any big city because there is such a large Hispanic population in most cities (especially if it was in L.A.). Now a lot of the home games against Mexico end up getting scheduled in random small cities like Columbus, Ohio or Salt Lake City, Utah.

Well this is interesting...Milan and Inter ultras working together? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

QUOTE
The Curva Nord group has called for solidarity with their AC Milan Curva Sud counterparts by challenging new legislation introduced during the summer which leads to stadium closures -- partial or full -- for any act of racially discriminatory behaviour by fans.

The regulations also punish territorial discrimination, which has led to Milan’s game against Udinese on October 19 being played without spectators at the San Siro after they were already forced to stage their home fixture with Sampdoria with the Curva Sud closed.

"We are ready and we hope that all fans make discriminatory chants so that we end up playing a Sunday without any fans at all," said an appeal published on the Curva Nord’s website. "We are proposing initiatives coordinated with other fans, ultras, with the fans of our rivals from our city, with our partner fans and with our historic rivals, or anybody else who realises how absurd the attempt is to whitewash our minds with an alien respectability."

...

Indeed, should the appeal of the Inter fans be adhered to, even only in a humorous, ironic manner, such as the way Napoli fans discriminated against themselves at the weekend by wishing cholera on the city of Naples -- a frequent discriminatory chant made by opposition fans -- the way the rules are currently set out, they will all receive an automatic partial stadium closure.

We, on the other hand, are stuck with this half-arsed team that reflects its inept coach, uncapable of giving an identity or game to his team in more than 3 years now. Tragic.

We do have an identity. Unfortunately it is "play like garbage for 85 minutes and hope for a penalty or miracle goal in the last 5+ minutes".

Forward Stephan El Shaarawy will miss AC Milan's Champions League game against Ajax after getting injured again in training.

El Shaarawy had been included in Milan's squad for the match but shortly after announcing the 20-man list on Monday, the club says the striker has a "microfracture of the fourth metatarsal in his left foot" and will not travel to Amsterdam.

The 20-year-old El Shaarawy has been sidelined for nearly a month with a muscle injury and Tuesday's match was set to be his first appearance since Sept. 1.

The Italy international expressed his disappointment on Twitter, saying "I don't believe it!"

Milan has not announced how long El Shaarawy is expected to be out, but he will also miss Sunday's Serie A match against two-time defending champion Juventus.

Seems the optimal strategy to watching Milan this season is to only watch the final five minutes of every game.

QUOTE (Jack Bauer @ Sep 17 2013, 08:51 AM) *
Former Milan striker Alexandre Pato spoke to SporTV about the injury hell that he experienced at Milan.

"I went through 18 months at Milan where I kept on getting injured. And now everyone can see what's happening there now: the players keep on sustaining injuries. It proves that the physical problems I experienced at Milan weren't my fault. I paid dearly for my injuries and I'm paying a price that doesn't depend on me. I was playing, getting injured, recovering and then going back in to see the physio. It's the fault of the doctors who were forcing me to return to the pitch too soon. The treatment at Milan is different to the one I get here. They work a lot on physique in the gym, swimming pool and physiotherapy. At Milan, they do 20 days of work in just a week, so it's only normal that the body can't handle it. I haven't had any injuries this season."

It's about time someone speaks out about what we're all thinking. Now we need someone still with the team to speak out.

Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis plays mind games on Mario Balotelli and is “scared” of Borussia Dortmund.

The President was speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss this afternoon when he publicly invited Balo's ex-girlfriend Raffaella Fico to Milan-Napoli at San Siro.

“We will watch the game together, her next to me wearing the Napoli jersey,” said De Laurentiis to Napoli fan Fico, who was also a guest on the radio show.

“That way Adriano Galliani will see us and get a bit jealous.”

It’s more likely to irritate Balotelli, who refuses to speak to or see Fico since their acrimonious separation.
