There are reports in the Italian press that Serie C side Monza are looking to sign Franco Baresi as their head coach. (Monza is a town in Lombardy about 15km from Milan).

Eventually Serie A will be full of former Milan players as managers! Hey, at least we'd win the league.

Anything new on that matter? Monza had always good relations with Milan. A couple of our players were loaned to Monza or did play there.

Baresi played in the second half of the Soccer Aid Charity match along side Jaap Stam for UNICEF it was not a bad match , it was a mix of Celabs and Football Legends, nice to see Baresi playing he made some of his lengendary tackles aswell as Stam !! Pierluigi Collina refereed for the start but when the ball was going over his head he ducked and injured himself and had to come off he looked in alot of pain i wished he stayed on he was replaced by the 4th official.

England 4 - 3 Rest of the World

Shearer and Sheringham still have it. How about trying to get them to reconsider retirement, Fabio? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Milan legends participated in a beneficial match - Tutti per Stefano Borgonovo
Baresi was also there. Cool to see him in the new shirt. Still looks good, the "Baresi" still not outdated. Nice to see the No. 6 on a Milan jersey one more time.

TANTI AUGURI A FRANCO BARESI!
08/05/2009

[Today is the birthday of Franco Baresi, rossonero of the century and mythical 'Capitano' of Milan. Best wishes Franco! 26 years dedicaded to the cause, playing 716 times, playing indifferently both CL finals and Serie B gams. That's a motive more than sufficient for being elected Milanista of the century. To 'Capitano' of the most titled club in the world, best wishes for a happy birthday from all the rossoneri!]
