Just wanna say, Theo...

Might just be our best LB since Jankulovski.

Far too good for this team and could help take us to new heights.

So true. We agree on something!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Calabria I would keep for now. He's having a nightmare season along with many of the rest of the players, but he's shown that he has talent, plus he's one of the last few from the youth academy

Kessie, Suso and Hakan definitely need to be replaced

I do not understand why these players keep having bad games and keep taking up starting spots.

While Paqueta is sitting on the bench Kessie and Hakan are out there each week bumbling about the pitch. Same with Rebic. Why isn't he being given a fair shot?

As for Leao, I think the kid has great potential, but should not be starting in important games, he's too green and too selfish on the ball at times. He over dribbles a lot causing him to lose the ball each time. He needs to be managed properly to be able to come into his own.

Suso is just being Suso. He'll never be consistent, he'll always be a bit too slow for a winger as well.

We should go after Deulofeu again. His electric pace would solve a lot of our problems in attack

And I still say we need to switch to a 4-2-3-1

Kessie and Bennacer would hold the double pivot while Paqueta plays behind Ibra

Yes. Agreed.

The problem with the 4-4-2 is that we're obliged to keep Paqueta out for balance purposes. It can be a solution, but I agree that a 4-2-3-1 could give something better..maybe with more beautiful football.

I agree with what's been said.

Piatek is an amazing finisher. I think he actually needs a striker next to him to complement him...someone like Robinho or Cassano. I don't think he could work with Ibra, honestly. Leao has better characteristics for that.

We're in this phase of creating an identity for the team, and for sure it is taking lots of time, but we have our fair share of very talented players that we can build around. We have to get rid of the crop of average players though: Kessie, Calabria, Suso, and Calhanoglu are increasingly getting in that category in my eyes.

Someone made a very interesting analogy about the Caldara situatuon.

I buy a great sports car, one of the best of 2018. I pay a lot for it. As I'm driving it home I make an accident and the car gets severly damaged. I take it to the mechanic and he says it will take a while to get it fixed, so I wait. As it's about to get fixed, the repair shop's wall collapses on the car, but I want to get it fixed again. I keep paying the mechanic. The car now is almost ready, but an enemy asks me to loan it to him for 18 months so he can value it. If he deems the car is not worth it after the 18 months, he will give it back to me, otherwise if he thinks the car is fine he will pay me half of what I paid when I bought it. In the meanwhile, so I don't remain without a car, he gives me his used 1998 Fiat Panda. I'm so happy that I will probably pay him even half the cost of the fuel.

Good one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Here we go again, blaming Piatek. F*cking Ibra came along and looks even worse.

I give up. Again.

It's not his fault Danny. But, I don't think he can succeed with us. Especially, in these conditions. So, it might be better to sell him or risk losing significant market value...

Oh god, we have just loaned Caldara to Atalanta for 18 months + right of purchase for 15 million. 18 months! And we're going to get Kjaer instead, a 30 year old dud who's warmed the bench so far at Atalanta after his exciting adventure in the Turkish league.

I swear, Maldini and Boban are proving to be an absolute disaster. These guys have no idea what they're doing anymore.

Did you guys read about the Politano news? We might end up spending 25 fucking million on this Inter bench warmer! Finally some clubs (Spurs, Aston Villa, West Ham) are willing to give us around 30M for Piatek and we're going to spend them on Politano???

H-E-L-P!!!

I understand your point. But, Caldara was always injured for us, I don't feel that much egret. It's a shame because the guy is perhaps good, but we can't wait too long. It's true that the deal is somewhat surprising, given that we won't get the money now. Kjaer will be okay as a backup.

I agree, I don't want Politano. I hope we manage to sell Piatek. At this point, everything is in such a mess, I don't what can be done.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 16 2019, 06:07 PM) *
Anyway, about yesterday's game: I thought we played good, created a lot, but it's obvious we're missing that little spark upfront that makes the difference. After all, at a certain point we were playing with 4 advanced mids (Bona, Paquetà, Hana, Suso) and just one striker, who is pure crap (Piatek). Leao did more in 15 minutes after he came in than Piatek in all the match.

Point is, we need Ibra, and I'd argue even a left winger. I've been saying this for nearly two years now. We need a good LW really badly, yet this moronic management does nothing to address the issue. How can you expect to play 4-3-3 with Hakan as LW? FFS!

Agreed. We played good football. Piatek is a major problem, he just isn't as vital as last year. Something isn't clicking with him. Leo...the potential behind this player is immense! But, he seems to be just always just close to scoring.

I agree that we need to get Ibra and someone else on the wing. I thought Hakan did okay yesterday, but it is clearly not his role.

It's not like inter have been an established force for years now. They rode their luck into the CL which is what allowed them to get a coach like Conte

We were a single point away last season from them.

But those are the fine lines.

True. :/ We were one point away from everything being different..but that's football I guess.

A couple of months ago I said here that Bonaventura was a finished player and he shouldn't be played anymore. Oh, how wrong I was.

True, I thought the same. But, the guy seems to have gotten even better. You know the time to get back from injury, you can just sit back and do nothing..or you can put your maximum energy and mind to come back in the best way possible. And, Bonaventura seem to have done just that. Such a big plus for us.

Anyone else thought we were robbed of that goal?

From the images they showed to the referee at the VAR it kinda looked like Kessie touched it with his hands, but from another replay which they didn't show to him, it was very clear he didn't.

I'm not sure. I thought I saw it touch his hand from that angle.

Yes easily. I'm loving the intensity though. Everyone is giving it their all. Love it, it's not the type of game where you feel the players are just there to play. Props for Pioli. Bennacer should have passed it on that chance. I feel we're a bit susceptible, but Sassuolo are pretty good in attack, so we need to get these goals in.

I don't think Suso has ever been that consistent top player who's made the difference for us. He's a skilled winger who can pull the usual assist or free-kick once in a while, and he proved that tonight with the assist for Hernandez. And honestly he was quite involved in all our attacks, and it's not like the other players did more than him in that regard.

True, but I expected him to mature into something more perhaps. Not the case though.

If only Pioli had this team start of the season. He would have been much better. He is the ideal transitional coach. He's keeping it smart and simple.

Man, we really must be given an award or something for the all the counterattacks we screw up. Completely clueless.

Anyway, 3 points. That's two wins in a row. Next we're playing Sassuolo at home and Atalanta away before the year end. Let's see if we can manage 4 points in those two games.

True. Castel pissed me off on these two occasions!

We have to get 6 pts out of these two games, no excuses!

That being said, I did jinx him after saying that, with him making 2 errors that cost us 2 goals...

True. The guy is great on the attack, just amazing... He keeps pushing it's beautiful to see. It was perfectly shown in the last attack of the game, I like to see that from a player

Honestly, he isn't bad on the defensive side, but he has some brainfarts sometimes. Another fullback who is good today is Conti. I think we are starting to see the real Conti after injury.

Bonaventura was really again the guy who gets the goal in, so happy to have him back. I don't think he can do full games, but I think he can still be quite decisive for us.

Good game, important 3 points. We have to keep this up.

I'm very dissapointed about Suso, the guy is a shadow of himself. What happened to him? It is not like he got a big injury. or something.
