Anyway, we f@cked this up ourselves first and foremost by once again being terrible in front of goal. And this goes for both games as we wasted a boatload of opportunities in the first tie as well
Had we made just that one purchase in January and brought in a scoring winger who could play on the right we'd have run away with the league.
So many f@ck ups in front of goal it's truly sad that we could have done something notable if it weren't for the sheer lack of quality upfront.
Having said all that, we have once again been f@cked over by refereeing and it is unacceptable at this point. That goal would have changed the tie. Inter are lemons that would have crumbled once that had gone in. In comes the ref to save them, as they did vs Torino and vs Spezia most recently. There is something seriously not right going on. This cannot be down to luck or ref calls balancing themselves out as they have not gotten a single bad call against them.
Just disgusting. And a true showcase of why this league is a hot pile of garbage at this point in time.
The refs are terrible, that's all there is to it. The VAR has become a tool to look at the tiniest of irregularities, and instead of looking at the contextual facts, they simply apply the rulebook like a bunch of fucking sheep.
Not only Handanovic would have never saved that, but the shot was not in his trajectory of sight. The fact he didn't even protest when the GK's are the first to protest in these circumnstances goes to show you he wasn't influenced by Kalulu's position at all.
I don't care about this tie and about the cup, but I'm sick and tired of this bullshit refereeing system that is destroying football.
