QUOTE
Joan Laporta has reiterated that Samuel Eto'o is not for sale amid reports that AC Milan could be about to launch a massive bid to lure him to the San Siro.

The FC Barcelona president has stated that the Cameroonian striker is excited about the prospect of playing alongside Thierry Henry next term.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport included Eto'o in the list of five world class players that Milan have drawn up to pick their big summer signing from.

Reports in Spain also suggested that a representative of the Serie A giants was on his way to the Catalan capital with a blank cheque forthe player.

"Samuel Eto'o is not for sale," Laporta said.

"He is a reference point not only for FC Barcelona, but also for football around the world.

"Samuel is ready to go back to training and is looking forward to starting the new season and cannot wait to play with Henry, Ronaldiho and Lionel Messi.

"The club's fans are excited about the prospect of seeing the four forwards we have and neither Eto'o nor Ronaldinho will be involved in any transfer."

Also included on AC Milan's list, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, are Ronaldinho, Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko and Alexandre Pato.

Chances of either R10 and Eto'o coming to Milan is as slim as chances of Kaka going to Madrid.

I cannot understand...

Why are we still after Eto'o if everybody knows that he REALLY wants to stay in Barcelona to play with his boyfriend Henry.

He will be pissed if he went to another team.

Milan ......... please FORGET THIS GUY!

Please go after a young VERSATILE striker ... not a box striker and by the way .... at the end we (the fans) don't really care if he is Brazilian, Argentinian, European, African, Asian, or from Mars .... as long as he plays good football.

gotta agree with Porty here...I'm sure if he does,he'll come over and say something like...Barca didn't value my talent much...I never liked it there...I showed so much loyalty and they gave me sh!t...etc...and how Milan is really te greatest club in the world...etc.

Because he kept saying I'm an Arsenal player only for now, but a lot of things have changed and so have my plans for the future... Now has R10 ever said anything like that? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
