This is both assuring and worrying at the same time.

The only comfort I have is seeing people like Paolo, Leo, Scaroni and most likely Gazidis on board. None of these guys would have come on if this was a short term project for Elliot

I'm wary of Leo's involvement. This is the man who turned into an Interisti let's not forget.

Yet he's the one who got us Paqueta and Piatek.

And when strangers offer you sweets, does that make them safe wink.gif

Leo is hardly a stranger. He's been a Milanista for most of his professional career. 6 months at Inter won't tarnish that.

Does a little. Especially the way he acted. But Paqueta and Piatek help mend it.

Exactly. I think people, sadly, forget easily what Leo did. But okay...

It's convenient for many football fans to forget the bad things when something good comes along. Like a player betrays you then rejoins some years later when you're in a bad way and the fans welcome him back. If Pirlo had come back to us after the Juve spell I bet a lot of fans would have embraced him.

I wouldn't have been one of them.

Pirlo wasn't treated well by this club either, let's not forget that. Same can be said for our past legends like Leo, Paolo, Seedorf and Pippo because of the chaos that surrounded this club during the last years of B & Gs tenure. So let's not forget that either

Pirlo is a PoS for what he wrote in his book, but his choice to go to Juve after the slap in the face from Galliani was hardly a betrayal imo. And the thing that makes me boil even more over the Pirlo contract thing is that we had the policy of 1 year only contracts for the veterans, but had no issue giving out long term and very expensive contracts to players like Bakaye Traore etc

Bakaye Traore, the most disastrous player I've seen wear this shirt since I've been a fan.

There were others during the "peak banter era" as Milan twitter apparently calls our worst years

Mesbah, Constant, Muntari, Poli, Vangioni, Paletta, Matri, Cerci, etc, etc, etc

All these guys were on long and high paying contracts. Yet we couldn't give Pirlo a contract longer than a single year.

Galliani in his last 10 years or so was a disaster and it spiraled to where we ended up with the Chinese last year

Thankfully we finally seem to have serious people running the club again

What about Onyewu?

And Paletta is a little harsh!

Paletta had some amazing games for us, but he was a walking red card that just added to the banter of that time

No argument here on that one all round. They say the same about Rangers during the bad times - 'the banter years'.

Hopefully both clubs are heading out of them. I hear Rangers are doing well this year.

About the same as Milan I'd say! Signs of progress, using a legendary player turned rookie manager, and some better signings than previous years. Sound familiar?

Looks like your teams are on parallel paths right now

Been that way since 2012.
