I agree. Completely revolutionary. A manager bringing off a DM for a CM and a striker for a striker? Putting a defender up for a corner? God damn. This is going to change football!

Lol. That's not what I meant. It wasn't revolutionary. It was a complicated chess move that required a lot of guts, and I honestly couldn't see the purpose behind it. Especially when Marcelo wasn't fully fit even.

Taking off a DM for a CM, pushing the new attacker(Isco) back into a behind the lines role, while pushing the CB up in regular gameplay to get extra men in midfield. Meanwhile Morata is brought in to drop deep onto Gabi. Not quite as easy as bring on new players and changing formation.

It was complicated kurt. Go back to Fifa. When you Villa boys grow up to understand something other than 4-4-2 I'll explain in detail. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It was probably badly worded, all I meant was Chelsea finished just 4 points off first place and that's because of them losing a few more points against lesser teams so they're not really as bad as I thought you implied.

They're not bad, per se, they're negative. They play horrible tactics with players who aren't built for it. It's effective at times, but it sucks against teams who themselves play negative tactics. Unfortunately for Chelsea that's the majority of bottom to middle teams in the EPL when up against the big sides.

Milan is **** and nowhere near close to Chelsea.

I would fully agree with this though. We're shambolic, as us Scots would say.

Yes yes. You play your Herbert Chapmanesque W-M formation with your halfbacks and inside forwards. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I remember when Ardiles played the 2-3-5 when he was in charge of Spurs in the 90s. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
