The President of Milan also spoke about the Rossoneri's Champions League campaign which made up for the poor Serie A season.

Silvio Berlusconi commented Milan's season so far, which has been saved by the excellent run in the Champions League following a disappointing start to the season in Serie A.

"I always thought that Milan should have got back on track following what happened, we have always been on top in Europe and we have always imposed ourselves on other teams to be the masters on the pitch.

"The more our opponents are of a high level, the more Milan feels at ease. Today I don't feel any emotions, I'm prepared for a Milan trained for the great level battles, and I always motivate the players to do well."

Berlusconi's biggest disappointment is that Ronaldo was not purchased in summer, thus he cannot play in the Champions League this season.

"Ronaldo is also my personal bet, too many thought he was finished; Ronaldo was the champion of the champions and he still is.

"He's young, he's only 30 years old and I think that the Milan cure makes him feel better; I think he also became more handsome." of course he's gonna renew, it's just a matter of performances, how well is he going to play in 2 years.

p.s. to spend 8 milion for a player who you can use only 1 year and e half wouldn't be too smart, would it?

For Ronaldo, I think Milan didn't pay enough .. He should cost more than 8M ... After all, whenever he is on the pitch, Milan play with conviction and authority, He is deffinatelly worth more than 8M

I'd say renew his contract until June 2010. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ronaldo was a steal at $8m!

He has made a big difference for us since his arrival. Imagine if he was available for the CL semi? Hiis arrival has also helped Gilardino find some form because there is less pressure on him to score and he has a partner in attack now, which I believe helps his game.

I think we did a great bit of business with Ronaldo, but the money we saved on his real value will probably only cover the loss made on Oliveira (based on his performances so far) if and when we sell/trade him.

If he wanted to he could have done "a Beckham" in January. But Ronaldo is different, like a true champion he's always seeking new competitions.

beckham and his wife are LA type of people...they will fit in better in that city than anywhere else in this world.

Maybe you're right, Becks always seeked the spotlight, and LA is definetely the place to be then. But on the other hand it can't be a new challenge for him to play in the MLS. Don't get me wrong. It's a healthy young league, but it's much weaker than most european leagues.

It's probably one of the worst in the world in terms of entertainment.
