Aye. Never got myself to really like Alex Ferguson much. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Good coach, not nearly as good a person!

“I do not want talk about Milan, the final scene was sad,” the former Chelsea boss laments in an interview with Il Giornale today.

“Sometimes I put myself in the shoes of the fans, who have lived through other seasons with the Rossoneri and known evenings with players like Nesta, Cafu and Jaap Stam. I imagine their state of mind..”

Ancelotti on Milan taken from FI.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This is sad and somehow funny for me to read.

Because his club took our stars? I know he didn't sign the players, but that's why I find it kind of funny.

Because he is pitying us. He almost feels guilty. The situation is ludicrous.

Ancelotti talks about Milan: "I wasn't expect this Milan. All the departures cannot be an alibi, on the contrary, they must be a stimulus. Obviously the team lacks the quality of last season, but losing 3 games out of 4 is unacceptable. It was obvious that this season would be more complicated, because the squad lost some very important players. The core of the team must be reconstructed. In such a moment, it's important to remain united and not lose faith".

Straight from the book, eh? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) The reality is polar opposite, and will be unless we somehow go on a winning streak. And the only hope of that happening was to get all/most of our players back. With Pato's injury extended again, these next couple of matches should be more interesting off the field, than on it. That's the sad bit.

What Ancelotti said about Milan is bookish, yet 100% correct. But like I said, things couldn't be more different.

Looks like Carletto will be replaced by Benitez, who is seen by Del Bosque as "one of the best coaches in the world". IMHO, Ancellotti is much, much better than Benitez, but ...

Sounds like RM thinks so (or maybe they just feel they need a change). IMHO, it is a bad call. I understand they need to appease the fans, but surely they can find someone better. Then again, with the players they have it is real hard to screw up.
