QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 11 2006, 11:51 PM) I think so, since he has been preparing with Atletico and it's not like he just came from vacations. i think he's prepared physically, but does uefa rules permit him to play?

I think we should get adventerous with our formation since this is a friendly, Kaka and Gila should play since they seem like the ones that are lacking the most in match fitness.
How about this formation
Cafu--Simic--Billy--Serginho --------Gattuso--Pirlo--------- --Foggia---Gourcuff---Kaka-- --------------Gila---------------
Or we could go with the xmas tree
Cafu--Simic--Billy--Serginho ---Gattuso--Pirlo--Seedorf--- -------Goucuff--Kaka--------- --------------Gila--------------
Or we could just go with the same old formation, but since Pippo doesn't look like he needs to gain any match fitness I would much rather save him for later against Red star.
So I would use this
Cafu--Simic--Billy--Serginho ---Gattuso--Pirlo--Seedorf--- -------------Kaka-------------- ----------Gila---Foggia-------- or
Cafu--Simic--Billy--Serginho ---Gattuso--Pirlo--Seedorf--- ----------Gourcuff------------- --------------------Kaka------- ------------Gila----------------
Even though I know that any of these won't happen and we'll just play with the same old 4-3-1-2 with Pippo and Gila upfront

QUOTE (Portugal @ Aug 11 2006, 08:19 PM) I don't think it will happen but let's see, as I said before it's not all up to us, it'wether he wants to leave and if atletico will let him leave.

QUOTE (amancik @ Aug 11 2006, 08:39 PM) why can't we just raise young strikers from the academy? I mean Maldini, Costacurta were from the academy weren't they? It's not that simple, since we don't have the time for the academy to develop a world class striker, and even so I doubt they will have the chance to brake into the first team, look at Foggia, he is a great telent, but will he have enough playing time to continue to develop into what promises to be a world class player? I gues we'll just have to wait and see
