QUOTE (BMWTaylor @ May 26 2007, 07:16 PM)
No, start Fiori. He's been benched so long that he's growing rust. Seedorf will have oodles of time with his family because he wasn't even called up. No way in hell are Inzaghi or Ronaldo going to play, barring a major catastrophe.

REGGINA-MILAN: I CONVOCATI ROSSONERI
26/05/2007
MILANO - Questi i 20 convocati del Milan per domani: PORTIERI: Fiori, Kalac, Storari; DIFENSORI: Bonera, Cafu, Favalli, Grimi, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Nesta, Oddo, Serginho, Simic; CENTROCAMPISTI: Brocchi, Gattuso, Pirlo; ATTACCANTI: Borriello, Gilardino, Inzaghi, Ronaldo.

Well he's been training since he came here years ago so he should be limber enough, I think it's more dust than rust that he's gathering. He's just here to make up the numbers - to 1 more 'keeper than we need! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Why did we renew his contract yet again? Just give him a job as a Trainer already! I wouldn't expect a better performance from him than Storari had - they even look the same!

Yea, no surprise about Seedorf. I am shocked Ronie's back though (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) - hope it's not too soon for him that he does more damage (if he plays even for a few mins.) IMO Inzaghi, Pirlo & Gattuso should be rested as well as those han mentioned.

I'd go for this:

Kalac
Bonera-Simic-Favalli-Grimi (only because there's no other option! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )
Cafu-Brocchi-Kaladze-Serginho
Borriello-Gilardino

Kaladze played as DM in '99, it'd be interesting to see it again.

han: I'm surprised @ you, you know Sergio cant play/has never played as part of a 3 man MF - he'd have a heart attack or just collapse! I agree with you about the Pirlo thing though, if he gets a few mins or is able to start that'd be great to see! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

By the way, I don't care about 3rd place now (after last week's pathetic display (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ). Siena need a win @ Lazio which I don't think they'll get, to stay up (which I hope they don't! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ) unless we beat Reggina & they draw @ Lazio. I'd rather Reggina, Catania, Chievo, Parma, Cagliari, Torino & Livorno all stay up than us get 3rd spot (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif) Aren't I a gentleman? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Yea right! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Sergio has played in that position on more than 1 occasion, it's always used as Carlo's last role of the dice in games that we are losing, Istanbul comes to mind, replaced Seedorf, and caused havoc for Liverpool in that area, Tomasson and Sheva had 3 nealy open goal chances with crosses from him (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Also last season against Lyon when we were going out on away goal, Carlo took off Pirlo put Seedorf in the middle, pushed Sergio up in Seedorf's place and put Paolo at LB.

Obviously he would drift wider then Seedorf or Yoann would since those 2 are central mids and Sergio is a winger, but I'm certain that he can play in that position without any problems

As for your formation, I can't see that happening, and Carlo said that he doesn't want to make things worse and shift the balance in the relegation battles.

Interesting that all of the regulars save only for Dida, Maldini and Seedorf were called up.

I think Carlo's caved in to other relegation threatened teams being upset that Reggina may get an easier time than them.

Mazzarri wants '150 per cent'

Reggina must beat Milan to be sure of staying in Serie A and Walter Mazzarri urged his side to make one final push.

“I ask my team to give 150 per cent, as against Milan we will need to see the same side that played that extraordinary second half at Empoli,” said the Coach.

The Amaranto were trailing 3-0 at the Stadio Castellani last weekend, but fought back to draw 3-3 and give themselves a great chance of avoiding relegation despite their 11-point Calciopoli penalty.

“That is the same team that in this tournament has done remarkable things by putting together 48 points.”

Rossoneri boss Carlo Ancelotti has already hinted his European Champions are aiming to put in a “dignified” performance at the Granillo, but have nothing left to play for.

“Milan are always Milan,” warned Mazzarri. “Whatever line-up they opt for, in order to get a result we will still need everything to go our way. We have to hope they’re having a bad day and we excel in both attack and defence.”

The Coach, who is most likely having his last match on the Reggina bench, must do without the suspended Pasquale Foggia and Alessandro Lucarelli.

Reggina squad: Campagnolo, Puggioni, Di Dio, Esteves, Modesto, Lanzaro, Aronica, Gazzi, Mesto, Tedesco, Missiroli, Nardini, Barillà, Amerini, Vigiani, Amoruso, Nielsen, Bianchi

I cant say i care much for this match, but it would be nice to close the season with a win

Let the B guys play, but then again we cant be unfair to the other relegation teams, i would really loathe to see Parma go down

This is our first official game as champions of Europe so it would be nice to win.

But I don't realy care that much and I would much rather like to see Siena go down rather then Reggina or Parma

As I wished, Pirlo playing in the whole, it should be interesting to watch (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

I thought Gila would start him and Ronnie have the best understanding as far as I'm concerned, but Boriello probably deserves a final start after the efforts he put in last weekend, and Gila will probably come on after half time

Yea I know, I meant never from the start (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

As long as you recognise that fact (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) We'll see mate, but I don't have your confidence - I really don't think he has the energy/stamina to play there for 90mins (or until he gets taken off) and don't think he has the defensive/battling capabilties of a LCM like Janku has played before (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Yea I knew it wasn't gonna happen (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) , I just thought it'd be interesting that's all (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Well last season he was already 34 and was running up and down the flanks making players half his age look tired and old.

It's just that he's been out so long this season that's why he doesn't seem ready for that kind of game yet, but it will only come with match fitness. So playing him there could be good for him

WHAT? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Cafu as part of a 3 man mid. as well as Sergio with tiny little Brocchi in the centre by himself? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Good thing it's the last day of the season or I'd think Carlo has finally lost the plot! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Ronie? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) He better not get injured again! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Glad to see him play the last game though (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)
