Tuchel

Zidane

Enrique

All top coaches who are available right now. A serious club would take the hard decision and let Pioli go now, before things get any worse

Derby and CL games coming up. We need some sort of boost.

Tata beaten at the near post 3 times today... Do we not have a Primavera keeper we can call up? anything would be better than this

Zidane is not a top coach and he never would pick Milan, he'd only come for a sure thing like Real or City or France.

Enrique is pretty mediocre bar that one season with Barcelona to be honest.

Tuchel is problematic but very good. None of these are what we will go after if we fire Pioli.

Conte should be IMO our top target. He'll be free after this season and I think his return would be doable. Bielsa and Favre are avaible. Not many options to be honest, yet I think this step is necessary.

Haven't you missed me...

He's an Empoli manager. And exposed as such. He's been Claudio Ranieri in a nutshell but without Kante and Mahrez.

I've missed your valuable input and valid points of argument.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Jan 29 2023, 02:51 PM) *
We showed up in all the big games and even with our backs to the wall we pulled off wins. We were clutch.

Factually correct.

QUOTE
Get off it with the Leicester comparison. We were nothing like Leicester.

Correct, they were better and filled with world class players. But a rank-rotten manager.

QUOTE
This team has been steadily improving since 2019. Or are you saying the table was lying then as well?

Well, no, because we didn't win the league!

QUOTE
Just because we lost 2 games in a row does not negate a very good season where we were clearly better than all the other top teams. Which is not only corroborated by the greater amount of points than anyone else, but also with our record against the top 6 sides which was the best.

Pretty sure you're talking about Leicester...

QUOTE
We did not fluke anything. We were the best team last season. Simple as that. Inter can cry all they want but when they had moments where they could have come up clutch they did not. Case in point, the derby and then the Bologna game they had in hand.

Napoli and Inter were better than us, but didn't get the luck we did. We sucked.

QUOTE
That team in 2011 was on it's last breath. The important players were closer to 40 than to 30. Allegri is a one dimensional coach that needs difference makers to win games.

What, like clutch you mean... what's different about relying on Ibra in general compared with relying on Giroud scoring a goal in the last second? I'm sure you've got an answer there too.

QUOTE
All he knows how to do is set up a defensive system. Case in point when Zlatan left, we fell apart.

Completely avoided my point, but Zlatan's exit had as much impact as Silva's and the rest of those players.

QUOTE
In this case, the management, or rather the ownership has simply put, failed this team and Pioli as well. We needed improvements after last season and we ended the summer weaker than we started it. The foundation for this title winning side is stronger than Allegri's one. Allegri's team was on it's last hurrah, this squad is mostly composed of young players who are still to even hit the peak of their powers with most not even at 25 yet. How can you tell me it's a much better Milan back then? That Milan was already on it's last few blows of wind when we won the CL under Carlo, let alone under Allegri. Allegri's team had no future. This one does. It just needed the right investment to take us to the next level as Paolo said in the interview in the summer, but once again, cheap ownership is screwing us over.

Kessie was a hugely important factor in our midfield composition you may disregard it as just losing Kessie. But replacing him with Pobega is a perfect symbol of why things have gone wrong. Last season we knew the squad wasn't the best in the league. Man for man, Inter were better, and probably Juve as well. We needed investment to bridge that small gap. Instead we went a step back.

I agree Pobega is pish compared with Kessie, but Kessie's failure at a rotten Barca since leaving us highlights how rubbish we were that he looked so good for us.

I disagree. We need that CL money. Without it we go back into the banter era.

I agree on the money, that is true. But we'll just get shown up again while being a few quid richer.

Have no clue.

But trainers come in with the coach. Those are part of the problem as well. Last season, this season and in 2020 we've had the most injuries in the league. Most of which being muscle related. That's down to training and prep.

Antonio Conte had Pintus at Inter when he won the title, with a much older side and they barely had a niggle all season

The reason I asked is that medical turnover causes injury crisis, not training or treatments.

Think about it like having to go to a new doctor/GP when you have history with the old one. Suddenly the new one doesn't know you or what's best for you and you don't trust him or her.

If you have medical staff leaving there's a loss of trust from the players in the new staff and that means a little niggle ends up being a huge problem keeping you out for ages because the older medical staff knew you and how to treat you.

New staff are a blank slate.

Mediaset's line-up:

3-5-2: Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Gabbia; Calabria, Messias, Tonali, Krunic, Theo; Origi, Giroud.

If this is true, Pioli has completely lost his marbles.

Making it worse is not exactly a good thing

Not once have I seen this team pull off a back 5. This team is just not the same side that was playing at the start of the season. We've completely lost it

And at this point I feel like Pioli has given up.

Not playing Leao, playing Messias in the midfield FFS!

I barely want to watch this. We're going to get spanked

Playing like a Serie B side.

Tails between the legs. Not doing anything but defending, and not even doing that well either

Messias has to come off!! What was Pioli thinking?!

Can't even play half decently in his own position.
