QUOTE
Silvio Berlusconi has officially announced his resignation as Milan President on the club’s website.

Berlusconi was sworn in as Italy’s Prime Minister this afternoon to head his third government after a resounding victory in the April 13-14 elections.

The law states that the peninsula’s leader must not be susceptible to a conflict of interests, forcing Berlusconi to let go of the Rossoneri’s reins.

“Having accepted the role of President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, I am forced by law to resign from social posts,” Berlusconi states on acmilan.com.

“With deep regret I have left the post of President of A.C Milan football club with immediate effect.”

Berlusconi has been at the helm since February 1986 but had to leave the position for the same reason in December 2004 before returning in June 2006.

During his time at the club, Milan have won seven Scudetti, five European Cups, three world titles, five Italian and European Super Cups and a Coppa Italia.

Well Silvio is in charge, it's just that he isn't the official figure anymore. I mean Galliani still answers to Silvio
