QUOTE
Bayern Munich President Franz Beckenbauer believes that Gennaro Gattuso would be ‘ideal’ for his side and has praised Luca Toni.

Azzurri hitman Toni is the Bundesliga’s top scorer with 21 goals to his name in a magnificent season since joining from Fiorentina last summer.

The giant marksman is already a hero at the Allianz Arena after firing Bayern to the title and his contribution hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“Toni and Franck Ribery made the difference with their goals and their class,” Beckenbauer enthused in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Of course Toni will be staying – we are very happy with him. He isn’t for sale and he is clearly under contract.

“Luca is a goal machine. He reminds me of Giorgio Chinaglia whom I got to know during my time in America, He is devastating.

“I think he can help Bayern win the Champions League again as soon as possible.”

Bayern have been linked with another Italian international in Gattuso, who may quit Milan at the end of the season.

“I don’t know if it is true that Gennaro Gattuso wants to leave Milan,” Beckenbauer said.

“But I like him as a player and he would be a vital component for Bayern in Europe. In fact, he would be perfect.”

The Bavarians could also be in the running for Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey’s signature as they look for a replacement for the iconic Oliver Kahn, who is hanging up his gloves.

“Kahn is about to retire but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we are lining up Fiorentina’s ‘keeper,” Beckenbauer said cautiously. “That will be decided by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Jurgen Klinsmann.”

The man nicknamed “Der Kaiser” concluded by looking ahead to this summer’s European Championship.

“Germany-Italy would be a game to get excited about,” he sighed. “It would be a rematch for the World Cup semi-final. The Azzurri are always strong and Germany have grown a lot over the last two years.

“There’s a great equality in the tournament. At least 10 nations think that they can win it.

“I don’t think that it will be another Greece-style winner, I think it’ll be one of Italy, Germany, France and Holland.”

The "Kaiser" is always good for one or two injudicious comments. Bayerns manager Uli Hoeneß already said that, besides the fact that he likes Rino, a transfer is more than unlikely. And Uli is the man at Bayern when it some to transfers.
Rino made a nice comment on the Bayern rumours too "Germany? Well, the beer is good there...." (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Luca Toni has been filling up the ears of Bayern management about Gattuso. And I won't be surprised Rino placing the German league after EPL in his list of foreign places to play.

Whether he leaves us is another thing, and yet to be seen. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I've got more chance of signing for Milan than Bayern have of signing Rino.

An article in ControCampo is saying that Rino's reached an agreement with Bayern and Milan's facing another Shevchenko case. The player wants to go but the club doesn't want to sell him. So they think it's almost certain that he'll leave in the end of the season. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

What? No! I don't get it... does he want to leave so badly? If he wanted to go to the EPL then I understand how he feels about a new adventure and stuff but why would anyone leave Milan for Bayern? Anyway... I'm going to wait until the very last moment. I'm sure he's thinking of leaving (it's just not possible that all these rumors are made up) but I don't think he's made up his mind yet.

PS Do Bayern want to use him or do thay want to lock him in a cell and torture him for all that he's done to them? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think they want him so that he'll do the same to others..... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I really can't see them buying Rino. What Bayern needs is a deep lying playmaker like Pirlo. That's exactly what Rino is not.
