There are strong rumours coming out of Italy that an agreement as been struck with Parma for the sale of Gilardino. This has been translated from http://www.tgcom.it/sport/ -

Alberto Gilardino is a player of the Milan. What it lacks is only the official announcement that would have to arrive in the week end. The understanding (on a figure near 28 million euro) has been caught up friday morning after one phrenetic series of telephone calls between the rossonero club and the Parma.

Let's hope its true (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

From the official website..

QUOTE
GILARDINO JOINS MILAN!!
7/18/2005
MILAN - It is finally official: Alberto Gilardino has signed a contract with Milan. The striker announced the deal himself in a phone link-up during the 'Studio Milan' talkshow on Milan Channel: ’I'm very happy, it was a long negotiation that fortunately ended in the best way. Everything of this team fascinates me: the club, the history, the top players who are part of it. Why did I choose Milan? Because they are the strongest club in Europe and for me it is a great honour to wear these colours.'

Excellent news (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) A very important signing.

I think you're right.

It is an expensive signing, but I'm confident he will prove his worth. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) If he can constantly score over 20 goals a season at Parma, imagine what he can do at Milan with Kaka and Pirlo behind him (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
