Milan and Juventus could be swapping their main strikers by the end of the season according to reports coming from Italy.

Alberto Gilardino is finding it tough to score goals this season and maybe a change of environment could give him back his clinical finishing touch which had impressed so much during his Parma days.

On the other hand, David Trezeguet had expressed his desire to leave the Old Lady and join a club competing for top honours both domestically and in Europe and therefore Milan could prove to be his perfect destination.

To make things easier, Gilardino has always expressed his childhood love for Juventus and so he could wear those colours that were dear to him in his youth.

This transfer might occur in January, always according to the Italian media, but most likely it will happen in June when the season is over.

Just don't give any notice to this, this is just the regular round of rumours going around.

Gila will stay at Milan for a long time, and exchanging him for an old player ios really not the answer. Gila will find his touch again, he is slowly regaining form. This is normal for him to start the season slowly, he always does it, even when he was with Parma, and then after christmas he explodes and practically notches up over 20 goals in that time span (from after the break to the end of the year).

Exchanging Gila for Trez would definately be a mistake and I really can't ever see this happening

Plus of Gila wanted to go to Juve he would have chose them when he was leaving Parma, but he chose Milan.

Milan rubbish Trez swap

Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has rubbished talk of a swap deal involving Alberto Gilardino and Juventus' David Trezeguet.

The rumours surfaced with Gilardino - a childhood Juve fan - struggling to find the net at the San Siro, and Trezeguet reportedly becoming disillusioned with life in Turin.

Juventus president Cobolli Gigli appeared to suggest that the clubs were prepared to enter into talks, but Galliani said he had no intention of going through with the deal.

"I have never considered this thing. Neither I, nor [sporting director Ariedo] Braida or even [Silvio] Berlusconi have met with Juventus management do discuss any transfer of that nature," Galliani told Italian TV.

"I think the Juventus representatives must have been speaking to the wrong people..."

Milan failed to score yet again on Wednesday night as they lost 2-0 at home to Lille in the Champions League.

They have managed only 14 goals in 12 Serie A games and still lie in lower mid-table having started the season with an eight-point penalty.

Trezeguet would certainly add pure finishing ability to a struggling Rossneri forward line, and has a tremendous scoring record in Serie A, with 95 goals in 141 appearances.

Yeah I know... I'm surprised they think they can get Kalac for so little. They should include Trezeguet in the deal!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
