Got the important three points but yea injuries are a real concern. Full back I think we really are out of options. Nit sure ifbwe can take the risk of playing three at the back against Chelsea but then we might be forced into it.

Very important win. Thrilling finale, just as soon as they equalised I was going to turn off the TV but what a move under a minute later.

Against Chelsea it is going to be difficult. The team is spread thin. Then Juve and then Chelsea all back to back.

On the formation, I believe the team functions better in the 4231. A 3 backing will be difficult for the teams play in general, as they will need time to get familiar.

It's a daunting task ahead, win or loss Forza Milan!

Only managed to catch the last 20 minutes, and what a finale. That FBT goal will be remembered for long. Great mentality overall, good job lads.

But yeah, the injuries are getting worrying. We have no alternatives in defence whatsoever against Chelsea. If one of the back four gets injured we're f@cked.

Maignan
Calabria
Kjaer
Theo
Florenzi
Saelemaekers
Messias
Origi
Ibrahimovic

I mean, bruh...

Yeah, I was writing on here about how we've f@cked up the points in the winnable game once again, I didn't even see the Toure goal live (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

We won this one, but I worry that it could be at great expense for the next few matches.

I don't understand why we started Calabria and Kjaer tbh. Both had issues during the national break. Now Calabria looks like he's going to miss months, he probably has a similar injury to the one Florenzi got. The muscular problems are insane, I don't understand how this is the 3rd year in a row where we do not fix this issue. Something has to be wrong with the preparation and conditioning of the players.

We're seriously f@cked. Especially in those Chelsea games. I think in Serie A we've learned how to grind out the wins even with a thread bare squad. This is the 3rd season in a row this has happened so...

But against Chelsea... I keep worrying about that one, the FB issue is just dire. As soon as Calabria came off yesterday we struggled. Kalulu really looked out of place there, and Dest didn't have enough time but it's clear that he's going to have issues on the defensive side of things, his positioning looked all over the place in those 20 or so minutes that he was on

I'm advocating for a 3 at the back because it will mean our fullbacks have more cover and both Toure and Dest will need it against Chelsea. Only issue there is that we probably won't even have enough CBs to switch to it

Against Chelsea we just have to sit back and hit them on the break, I watched a bit of their game against Palace yesterday, they are slow in the build-up and at the back with T. Silva their only decent defender, Koulibali was on the bench. James is fast but I think Leao will cause him trouble, Theo is such a huge miss here... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

We don't have enough men for a back three. We're threadbare in that department right now. We just gotta have faith in FBT and Dest. They're both time bombs, but we have no other choice.

I'm betting Pioli will start Krunic as AM with CDK on the right against Chelsea (or vice-versa).

Yeah, most likely. It will probably be Krunic starting wider and dropping back, he'll really have to work to help out Dest, I'd rather we just shape more into a 4-3-3 tbh. Krunic will start deeper and help to double up with Dest. FBT looked ok defensively, it's just when he had to advance forward that he looked completely lost, which puts Leao in a difficult position with no proper support from his FB#

Alexis out for 2 months apparently, sprained his knee.

Sh!t out of luck with these injuries.

Letting Romagnoli leave and replacing him with a kid that Pioli will need time to trust is looking like a realy bad decision right now. Just have to say it. We have 3 viable starting CBs. The rest are Gabbia, who we know and Thiaw who will need time to get integrated

Gabbia and Thaiw need to get in some minutes in the league. Then the Adli case is annoying we could have used him at UCL, wonder what the issue is there.

But having 9 injuries, barring origi (looking like a major fail tbh) and Ibra all other play every game with theo and mike being probably our top three players

I forgot about Gabbia. He's alright as an emergency alternative.

Thiaw is a big talent (just like Vranckx). We were just f@cked by UEFA's rules otherwise him, Vranckx and Adli would have been inserted in the CL list no doubt.

Gabbia is a liability against anyone that has any kind of pace. He can cut it against certain teams in the league, but he cannot play CL football.

Origi has been injured his entire time here. I'd still like to see how he'd actually play if he has a run of games. Was he this injury prone at Liverpool? Because us + injury prone players is a major fail waiting to happen

Gabbia cannot be used against any good sides or he'll get smoked.

The problem with Thiaw and Vranckx and even Adli is that Pioli clearly does not trust them. Adli can play further forward so he'll eventually get more minutes but the other 2 play crucial positions in the team and Pioli is just not going to shove them into the starting 11 anytime soon. Which leaves us with a huge problem considering the injury list is what it is. Vranckx looks really good as well, but Krunic and Pobega are going to get most of the minutes when either Benna or Tonali are rested or are out. Pioli knows both and Krunic especially is someone he relies on a lot in these situations. I really hope we can give these players some time in the coming games against the bottom half teams that we have coming up. We surely cannot keep playing Tonali and Benna in every game or we're going to risk injuring them and then we'd be f@cked big time

Yeah bruh, but you can't expect for the 5th choice CB to be world-class. Gabbia was supposed to leave this summer but we kept him exactly because we needed an Italian CB in the CL for the UEFA lists. Otherwise we would have included Thiaw.

And please don't mention Romagnoli again because that f@cker couldn't wait to leave for Lazio.

At least he was a solid backup. And Gabbia simply is not.

I don't care that he went to Lazio happily. I guarantee you that his first choice would have been to stay at Milan, we were simply not interested in offering him a decent deal and were clearly low-balling him because we were not that enthused by the potential of him staying. I do not begrudge Romagnoli in the end being happy to go to his boyhood club if he was going to end up leaving Milan. But what we did there is similar to what we did when we let Hakan walk for .5 of a million.

We did not have the budget to replace him and had to play a season with Diaz as our sole number 10. In the end we obviously came out there the better for it, but we keep taking these risks and playing chicken with player contract renewals and at some point, we're going to get bitten for it.

All it takes is an injury to either Kalulu or Tomori. Then tell me what we're going to do.

Calabria out for the rest of the year, Florenzi out for the rest of the year, Salad out for 2 months, Kjaer doesn't seem as serious going by Pioli's words but no confirmation yet. With our medical team it could be out for the rest for the year as well
