Well, in all honesty we played relatively well. Napoli didn't do anything aside from the two goals, we had the better chances but flunked them. It happens, but it goes to show you that our attacking problems still persist. CDK has been massively underwhelming thus far. Alexis is mediocre, and Messias is utter garbage. I'm starting to agree with you Han, we should have never renewed him. Did you see him last night? Serie C level. I read we might go for Ziyech in January. Please let it be.
Ziyech has been very underwhelming for Cheslea so far. Wouldn't be surprised if we tried to go for someone else, Doku being linked and he's the type of profile we tend to go for rather than Ziyech.
As for the game, I'm honestly very happy with how we played. The result was the sore point obviously, but if we had played that game 10 more times, we'd have won 9 out of the 10 of them. Sometimes you just have sh!t luck. The finishing was suspect, and the fact that we have players who are not at the level we need on the right hurts us, especially in matches like this one where we had Leao suspended and Rebic and Origi out as well so we really didn't have any attacking options on the bench aside from Diaz, who credit to him, came on really well. He's so good generally coming off the bench. This is really how we need to use him
As for CDK, I think he's been good/okay. He's had some really important passes in games, you can clearly see that he's got the quality. He sees the pass that none of our other attackers would imo. He's smart, elegant, strong. He'll obviously need time. Let's not forget we called Leao the Portuguese Niang. Sometimes players just need some time to adjust. Not everyone is going to be like Kvara and immediately hit the ground running.
Btw, this f@cking NT break is going to screw us over big time
Tonali, Theo, Maignan and Kjaer all injured.
France are f@cking playing 37 year old Giroud in a glorified friendly match FFS. A player who's played every 3 days with his club for months now. Just ridiculous
UEFA are negligent for this BS. Not only do we have to put up with a WC in December, but they are putting these players through unnecessary games when the schedule is already packed to a masochistic level.
And it's not just our players, I keep reading about injuries every few minutes
I really hope the Tonali, Theo and Maignan injuries are due to fatigue and nothing serious. Although we already know that Theo's scans showed issues with his adductor. Hopefully this allows him to rest up and we can have him back for the next games
