Keeping with the MLS theme..
I managed to catch the MLS All-Star game tonight (Repeat, it was played a few days ago). I was pleasently surprised with how well they played. Celtic pretty much took their full team with a very competitive first XI. Now I know it's all the best players from the MLS, but even so, to beat a team like Celtic is surely something? I mean, Milan played 210 minutes against Celtic and only won 1-0. The MLS also missed a penalty and had a goal disallowed, and in my opinion dominated the game, Celtic didn't have too many chances. Hopefully it's a sign that the sport's improving over there. MLS All-Stars 2-0 Celtic Goals from two Colombians, Angel and Toja. On a side note, I was very pleased on a personal level. With Angel being one of the biggest fan favourites ever at the Villa it was nice to see him.. Top the voting to be selected in the first XI Score Be the All-Star MVP Like I said, ON THE FIELD, he'll make a bigger impact than Becks. I'm not certain some of them actually know what Beckham is, in terms of a player. when he does score them their spectacular but even in a lesser league than la liga or premier league i dont think he'll score more than 7-8 goals a season. and i dont think we'll see as much crossing from him because he should be played in the center of midfield so he can see more of the ball plus he'll run less. |

Lot of rumours about Simao Sabrosa (Benfica) going to Atletico Madrid for 20M/euros + 2 players from Atletico.

But they didn't sign him. But 2M/euros?! FFS, that's a bargain. Even Aubameyang would be more expensive. Well, now it seems he's coming to Portugal. We'll see how he adapts. He's still 18 though.
