Miha's firing is imminent, says Mediaset, with Brocchi considered by Silvio as the perfect person to coach the team next season.

I can't believe we're making the same mistake again. After Leonardo, Allegri, Seedorf, Inzaghi and Miha, now Brocchi. No Lippi as "tutor" either, just Christian fucking Brocchi! Wha...
I'm not Miha's biggest fan, but he's the least person to blame with the shitty players he has at disposal. Galliani with his garbage signings and Berlu with his even more garbage appointments are the real culprits. F*ck them. Seriously f*ck them.
Yeah I'd say this was a bad decision, let the guy finish the season. At the end of the year you evaluate everything he has been able to produce and make a choice.
Yeah seems pretty dumb to do so when we truly have nothing to play for except the Coppa Italia. It might actually end up being a step backwards.
I hope these are unfounded rumours or they're just discussing it for next season. However because it's mediaset I'm a bit worried it might be true.

what a clown management we have im talking Galliani and co. Same mistakes same bullshittery.
What the actual f@ck just happened? Makes no sense at all. What's any coach supposed to do in six days?
Apparently even Galliani was against firing him, so looks like this was all on Silvio.
The only good thing is Brocchi has been appointed only till the end of season and not given another 3 year contract.
Because I think we just got Seedorf and Pippo off the salary books.
I really want to listen to the press conference on this one. I'd love to hear the 'explanation'.
'Brocchi-Milan for many years'
By Football Italia staff
Cristian Brocchi's agent believes he can be Milan's Coach not just for six weeks but 'for many years'.
The former youth Coach was appointed today to replace Sinisa Mihajlovic. It remains to be seen whether he'll handle the team for anything more than the remaining six games of the season, but his agent is confident he'll have a longer spell.
“I'm very happy for Cristian, who was given this important opportunity,” his agent Davide Lippi told Calciomercato.it. “After several years with the youth squad, I think he's ready for the next step.
“When President [Silvio] Berlusconi calls you to Coach Milan, you can do nothing but accept enthusiastically, the way that Brocchi did.
“He is a great professional, he is ready, and he is an indefatigable worker. He is just the way he was as a player.
“I'm sure he'll be able to work as a Coach for many years. At 2:30pm [GMT] I'll be with him at Milanello, where he will begin this new adventure.
“As for his contractual terms, we'll discuss them in the Press conference.”

I don't really think it's Brocchi's fault. No one is going to say no to a coaching job at Milan. I'm not even saying he will be a flop (just yet).
I just don't see the point of doing it now. Even the players came out in support of Miha. Is it a Silvio loyalist vs Miha loyalist kind of situation in the camp?
Anyway the press conference is happening now. Expect the same old nonsense of working hard for the shirt and not forgetting we are Milan and about humility and sacrifice.
I just want to know why Miha was fired. At least the official line.
What the actual F@CK??
Seriously?? You fire Miha who's no tactical mastermind but is at least a decent coach with a few years coaching experience in the league and you hire Brocchi out of the Primavera with no real experience. This is the Pippo/Seedorf situation all over again. And Brocchi doesn't even have any status as a big player himself to fall back on. This will most likely cost us 6th and whatever slim chance we had in the Coppa FFS!!
I mean, this just shows what a bunch of senile old fools are running this joke of a club.
They better pray this goes marginally well and they better have someone decent to come in next season because this is inexcusable. The results aren't not coming because of the coach but because of the players Galliani keeps saddling us with
the only things that makes sense is that we check broochi for 6 weeks and then we can asses him and make a decision over seummer. But i think we are going no where overall
From what I hear Brocchi is just a temporary solution.
btw
This is shocking news indeed!
I really did like the way the team started to come together under Miha. An essence we really needed since Carlo's days. Berlusconi decided and that is the end of it, as crazymilanfan commented above, if anything it is to give Broochi a head start or a 'trial' ahead of next season.
Otherwise, it just does not make any sense. Maybe if Miha takes up the Lazio job, it could mean the situation was all prearranged for Miha to get a head start at Lazio as well. This considering he was already feeling under threat for potentially not achieving Europe.
Lazio will be a good destination for Mihaijlovic.
Just disappointing how we've become a circus. The names being bandied about now for next season are: EDF, Lippi, Emery and Donadoni.
What's the actual point? Silvio will fire unless they play the kind of football he wants. And with our current team we go back to Mourinho's old comment about eggs and omelettes.
Already Brocchi seems to be a yes-man. In training he tried out a 4-3-1-2 with Bonaventura as trequartista. You know the same formation we used and got smashed? Except this time we have Balotelli.
Pfft...
Indeed.
Agreed. But let's face it, Mihajlović was already gone. I think it's positive that we appointed Brocchi now. At least that way we can tell if his ideas work and if he has it in him. Surely by losing 6th and/or the Coppa he'll be gone by then and we'll be searching a new victim.
At the moment just everything is wrong with Milan. The most important thing would be a change of management. Since all buyout rumors died off, I think we're stuck with this cycles going on and on.
I think there was nothing to re-asses in the first place. Mihajlović clearly lost his support by the management and the links with Lazio were heavy. Him leaving Milan at season end was a sure thing. Could that been avoided? Perhaps. But that's another story.
At this point, if what han said is true about them playing a game to find the next Cappello/Sacchi, then I hope they find it sooner rather than later. If this really is the case, and it appears that it is, then I'm hoping Brochi is special and he brings along the young players and we become competitive again. Otherwise next season we start again from the ground.
Two old men playing silly power-games. Games, because I do not see the circus ending with the clown being sacked. Only way we get out of this is with Berlu selling the club and the new owner finding new management. And even then, there is no guarantee we will not end up with an even worse clown.
It was obvious Miha would not last (Berlu dropped enough hints). Miha is not a great coach, but I would have stuck with him to the end of the season. Not thrilled with Brocchi, but perhaps this way we may see some of our young players on the field (doubt it they will do much worse than the current lot, and we really have nothing left to play for - 6th place actually hurts us financially).
I went through his press conference. He said all the right things, didn't use the word 'grit' fortunately. Because when an Italian coach uses that, it means the football is going to be boring.
What we need is a coach with a smart director of football. Galliani should henceforth do just one thing and that is player negotiation. Let the coach and the DoF find the players and let Galliani wear his golden tie and do the jig.
Not sure if Lippi is a good choice for DoF however. I think he is behind the curve footballing-wise.
Anyway, Miha is a closed chapter. Respect to the man, especially because he says he intends to find a new job ASAP and not hang around living off our paychecks.
So next season we are no longer paying for Zee or Pippo. Let's see how things go.
In essence I agree with you.
But I know what re-asses means. And Mihajlović was already gone, so there was nothing to reevalue. This gives us more possibilities: Brocchi was always in the game. If he fails miserably now, we'll be forced to find someone else for next season. If he makes things good/better, well...
Although I am against his sacking, I think he kind of got lucky. The team got hot after Niang came back and after he got injured again the wheels have fallen off. Things got stale and he didn't adjust. I blame this on the team not being among the best, but the coach must take some responsibility as well.
The team began to play well when we went with Donna; Abate,Alex, Romagnoli, Antonelli; Honda, Monto, Kucka, Bona: Niang, Bacca. We kept playing well as Berto absorbed some of the blow of Kucka, then we lost Monto and Niang and everything fell apart.
^^
Yes I agree with you. We weren't really going anywhere from a progress perspective once a few key players got hurt. We were probably going to be predictable soon.
In a way, now was the perfect time to hire Brocchi, to test him out. Because the remaining games of the season are actually a beautiful selection of games.
We have some easy ones, some moderate ones and then finally two big tests with Roma and Juve at the end. The immediate few games for any new coach are pretty easy to deal with.
Niang was integral not by quality but for what he could/could have done. Adriano is a pure striker, and didn't work in combination with Bacca. Menez is still not the old from last season, but he also is in a tactical sense very needy.
Niang offers hard work on the flank, he uses his space and isn't slow. I think SES would suit just fine in this spot, if he was ours. I hope we'll give him another shot.
Yeah exactly. So obviously instead of a Niang if it had been Suarez, we would have rocked. The thing is, I sort of see that we perhaps couldn't have progressed beyond a 6th place team, because there wasn't the innovation to bring out the best in these players. At the same time, I only worry about this constant instability.
Mentality. We picked up a loser mentality. No confidence, no healthy body language, no continuity. We need more leaders in our team, especially the midfield. And we need a true captain, someone who can lead by example.
Btw guys, what do you think about the new rumours of a Chinese group of investors buying a stake in the Club? Seems pretty advanced from what I've read...
I think Bee would have most likely been a total mess, so glad we managed to get out of that, and China really is where the money's at atm, so hopefully something finally goes well for us.
It's now been reported that our revenue has gone down and our expenses have gone up, which is perfectly expected as we're a club playing like a mid-table team while still spending like a top one
We have too many players on the squad still. I'd like us to keep working on trimming that fat.
We also need to seriously look at sending a few players off on loans. Maybe like a 2 year loan or something, similar to what's happened with Berardi.
About the Chinese investors, let's see how it goes. I mean, Inter's takeover hasn't anywhere been as impactful as when the Arab investors took over PSG and City. Thohir is struggling for cash, and it's just been a couple of years.
The only thing here is the credibility of the middle man is way above that of Bee.
