I would have thought he would miss 3 games then (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) It's not like we have a wealth of forwards as well (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

This is really woryying, considering how thinned out our front line is. I hope we don't get another injury bug this season like the last one, because I seriously don't know how we managed to fight till the end in both competitions last season.

DOCTOR SALA UPDATES GILA’S CONDITION

9/18/2006 4:31:00 PM

After last night’s collision with Paci in the Parma-Milan match, Alberto Gilardino is doing much better according to Rossoneri doctor Massimllano Sala.

- Doctor Sala, how is Alberto Gilardino doing?

"He is clearly much better than last night. He came to Milanello as was agreed upon yesterday, he was treated and his clinical situation is evolving."

-What exactly happened?

"A cranial trauma with a wound in the parietal region. Gilardino was immediately brought to the dressing room where he received stitches. Then he was transported to a hospital in Parma where he underwent tests that excluded any neurological complications or fractures. He then returned with me late last night."

- Where will he stay to recover?

"It is necessary to make a clinical evaluation of his symptoms for the first 48 hours to ensure that he is doing well, then he will need to have the wound monitored to avoid the risk of infection or other problems associated with stitches. He could be back training on Wednesday, but the recovery time will be determined by how quickly the wound heals. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Parma, their doctor Manara, the Stadium medics and the hospital’s emergency unit for all of their help.’
