OK. It's like this. Reports here in Portugal say Grimi could be on his way to Sporting Lisbon, on loan, for next season.

Braida says it's gonna be solved next week. Siena and Wolfsburg want Grimi too.

Would be better to give him to other Italian club so he can adapt to the league and style.

Yes, loan him out. Sporting would be the best choice, then Siena.

But with Sporting he gets international experience as well...

Still...I like it when I see one or two of those youngsters on our bench. It gives that feeling...ooh, look, they can jump in any minute if needed. When I see all of our vets on the bench, sometimes I wonder...can they make it to the line.. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Well, one vet started against Liverpool and won us the European trophy (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

We did turn the other way, and Gourcuff couldn't handle the pressure when he can on for 10 mins against Bayern. Grimi couldn't handle the pressure (against forgot who) when he played in the coppa italia match ..

Just comes to show you that Milan isn't Arsenal (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Amen to that. We have enough defence, therefore grimi would probably get zero playing time. Loaning him would be a good option, and portugal or spain i think would suite nicely to his style.

Right, i agree with ya. But inzaghi is a little different than other vets. I mean when has he missed when it really counted? Pippo is the kind of striker who is at the right place at the right time and very few in the world are like that. He can read the game perfectly, so i dont mind him playing another season. He should tutor gila, that would be a dream come true, if we could develop another inzaghi.

Yeah, I never ment to say Pippo is the one who should be retired. Nobody should, but we have to many vets now, and yes we are not Arsenal, but if we don`t buy or produce some young players soon our whole squad can retire and make a presedan in football history... I know that this will always be the case, people will always be like " Milan is too old .. a change is needed ... bring in youth players" ... As if the team will all retire in one day and no one would be left in the first team ...

But in reality, the first team is the best group of players Milan could ever produce .. And the team will always be maintained to remain at the highest of levels .. When has Silvio Berlusconi ever failed (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This team under Berlusconi will always be an experienced, well maintained team to challenge the top prises.

So if you want to watch players like Villa or Nani, you would have to look elsewhere cuz Milan have no room for that (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

No, I don`t wanna watch Nani or Villa. I wanna watch someone like Boban in 1992, Weah in 1995, Shevchenko in 1999 or Kaka in 2003...

Of course our basis is experience. It allways was under Silvio. But back then we had a Franco Baresi legend walking beside a becoming Paolo Maldini legend. And that was crucial, that was the garantee for another 10 years od maintaining at the highest level.

I mean, you can learn so much by only standing next to Paolo in a match. And lets not only say that for Paolo, the same goes for Sergio, Seedorf, Pippo,... Look what Paolo made from Kaladze. He made a C- defender look like a B+ one. Imagine what would he done with a younger and better defender?? I`m just sorry that this oppotunity is not really used.

Well u said it, Boban, Shevchenko, Kaka ... These were all class players, even before they came to Milan ... They were tracked by the top clubs and were targets for the top clubs ..

What I am saying is not that Milan only buys 30+ players ... What I m saying is Milan buys the best players for a certain position. When Boban came, he was tracked before that .. He was assessed accordingly, then and only then did he come ... Shevchenko ? We all know that it was Silvio who brought him, there was competition from Madrid and several top clubs, but non could match Berlusconi's desire to sign Shevchenko ... And Kaka was already a top player before he signed for Milan .. Madrid wanted him, Chelsea, and the whole shebang where after him .. But Leonardo made it clear to Galliani that Kaka was rising star and it was just a matter of time till he exploded on the scenes.

What I am saying is .. There are players with exceptional qualities around and those are the players that Milan consider brining in, but to bring in a 20 yr old, just cuz he has been hyped up to be the next Maradona (or whoever ur best all-time player is..) doesn't mean that we have to be on full assault on that player ..

Experience is something crucial for a team to reach a CL final ... Experience is what got Milan through a rough season as last season (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Then there is the pressure of playing at Milan ... Not many young players succeed. Gilardino is the freshest of examples .. Sure he scored several goals - Overall, he was mediocre ... And that doesn't take anything away from Gila's qualities, just that he isn't ready to play for Milan .. Sampdoria, Roma, etc he would have scored goals from anywhere on the pitch, but the pressure of Milan .. It's too much for these players ...

There are certain players that have special qualities, like Kaka, R9, Shevchenko, Maldini, etc etc .. These players have shown from a very young age that they know their abilities.

And it varies from one player to another .. To bring in (example) Villa; how would u know he would make an impact as Kaka did ? He might have the exact same impact of Gilardino, for all we know (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) And that is why I refrain from siding with certain young players .. You would need an expert to tell u if this player was going places .. Sure we can all see that he has been great in the La Liga, but what off Serie A and Jose Mari ..

In closing .. I am not against young players .. I am just pro experience. I would rather Milan bring in a 26 to 30 year old player than bring in a younger players. Because of the targets that Milan has set for each season (CL and Serie A title). At the end of the day, Gourcuff and Grimi are young players that Milan brought .. They have played a fraction of the season, because of the targets that Milan has set, it demands certain attributes that don't pertain to these young players, it is something that takes time .. or maybe it doesn't come to them at all (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I have hope for Gourcuff. I think he could be big. Otherwise we would have made a mid-field signing by now. We let Tuncay Sanli go instead.
If he weren't as big as we think he can be, Carlo wouldn't make that adjustment to give him more playing time.

As for Grimi, I think he's one of those players that need to play to get better. And there isn't enough room for that in Milan. Hence the loaning. After that, he could turn out to be good or he'll be sold to Celtic. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
