QUOTE (mishale @ Mar 9 2008, 10:00 AM)
It was another painful to watch game but we somehow pulled it off thanks to Ambro goal. Also Siena did us a favor as well and maybe Genoa can do something against Juve. We need that luck at this point.

Sell Gila, keep Paloschi (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/96.gif)

Are you sure? I don't think we've won that much so far this season (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/96.gif) Gila has to go. he just CAN'T do it in Milan.

And Paloschi definitely deserves to be a starter ahead of Gila.

I think we need to loan Gourcuff and Gila away, they are clearly lacking in confidence at the moment and staying here isnt helping them

Loan Gila to Genoa or Sampdoria and Gourcuff to Empoli, Parma or Udinese

Boban (i think) went on loan to a lower club (cant remember name), got his confidence back and the rest is history

I didnt like the performance (well thats obvious) but TBH in these matches that are left (11) I dont care how we'll play, I just want to win at all costs.

Winning beautiful or ugly will be the same for me, three-points is what matters right now (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

As for individual performance:

Kaka - even though wasn't at his best, he still decided the match (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

Pirlo and Oddo - both were awful, they need to rise their game or... or nothing coz they will still play, and thats sad we dont have anyone to sub them (especially Pirlo) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Pato - he scored an easy goal (there aren't easy goals, someone might say) but I was happy for him coz it gives him confidence. Also its obvious he needs to rest sometimes coz thats too much for an 18yo to play in every match.

Favallinho and Gilardino - they were Empoli's best players (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Yoan - I still believe in him, but he needs to have confidence and get some support from Carlo and team-mates.

Ambro - I cant critisis him, coz he saved our asses.

For the others, I dont have any special coment.

Ratings from Goal.com

AC Milan

Kalac – 6.0: Did not have too many saves to make as most of Empoli’s shots were off-target. Blameless on Busce’s goal.

Oddo – 6.0: A mixed afternoon for Oddo. His cross led to Pato’s goal, however he missed a tackle on Antonini in the build-up to Busce’s temporary equalizer.

Maldini - 6.0: Had a few nervy moments in the first half, but was very impressive after the break.

Kaladze – 6.5: Solid display from the Georgian. Was a reassuring presence at the heart of the Milan defence.

Favalli – 5.0: Was beaten by his man on one too many occasions down the left. The clear weak-point of the Milan team.

Ambrosini – 7.5: Battled well in the centre of midfield and the wet conditions in the second half seemed to suit him. Trademark header to give Milan the lead.

Pirlo – 5.5: One brilliant pass to put Gilardino through in the first half, however it is clear that Pirlo is not in good form at the moment.

Gourcuff – 4.5: Really poor. Gave the ball away repeatedly and was rightfully replaced at half time.

Kaka - 7.5: Struggled for long periods, however he created Milan’s second, scored the third, put a chance on a plate for Gilardino, and also presented Pato with a good opportunity.

Pato – 7.5: A constant bright spark all game. His decision-making is poor and he still needs to mature, this is true, however the Brazilian was involved in every attacking Milan move, scoring the first, and helping create Kaka’s clincher.

Gilardino - 5.0: Showed his lack of confidence by missing two great chances. Was anonymous for the remainder of the game. Really has to move on to another club at the end of the season if he wants to resurrect his career.

Subs: Bonera: 6.0, Brocchi: 5.5; Paloschi 6.0.

I think we'll play a good match in Rome next weekend, and dont think we'll loose.

As for matches agains Juve and Inter, I am still very confident and I believe we'll win both of them.

But, I'm more worried about matches Torino and Napoli... coz these are those kind of matches where we struggle.

But, from now on we'll have 1-week preperation for most of the matches and thats GOOD (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Boban was loaned to Bari. I agree about Yoann, I have been saying for a long time that it would be better for him to be loaned to another Italian team. About Gila, I just wish not to see him in Milan shirt after this season again.
