Atalanta and Inter both play today, so I hope our players don't bottle it based on today's results

I think if we win these next 2 games and the two against Bologna and Cagliari we're home and dry for the EL

Well, each game from now till the end of the season is a 'must win' so yes

But on a serious note, Atalanta won while Inter lost. This is a huge opportunity for us to cement our position in 6th place. Also looking forward to next week when we face Crotone while Inter have Napoli, Lazio have Roma and Atalanta have Juve. So if we win this and the Crotone game, we'll not only open up a decent gap between us and Inter, we could also reach Lazio in 5th if they lose to Roma

True, the performance in general has been listless but mistakes like the ones Zapata keeps making certainly don't help matters

And Bacca has been better than the Serie B player this season? He's been absolutely terrible, and missed sitters throughout the season. Honestly I don't know what you see in Bacca and this point you have to be one of very few still behind his lazy behind

Nah, thanks to Inter losing and next week's fixtures it's still basically in our hands, all we have to do is hold 6th and losing this won't change that for now

Oh come on! Sure Bacca isnt modern and he has obvious defaults. But the guy scores goals and has a very good instinct. At the moment he is our only first team option IMO. Lapadula is a solid backup.

Yes. If Juve win the Coppa then 6th place will get the winner's spot. If Lazio win (assuming they keep their European placing) then 6th will still get the winner's spot

Styles have nothing to do with this. Bacca's only plus is that he scores goals, otherwise he's an ineffectual ghost who doesn't contribute much of anything to the general play and this season even his only good attribute has eluded him

Add to that he has a terrible attitude problem

If there's anyone not Milan worthy from our striking options, it's definitely not Lapa

Well, in all honesty, this game clearly indicates the weakness of our roster. We're not Top 5 material, and we should really get a move on this summer if we wanna become Top 4 material and not miss that future CL train.

Awful performance from a good portion of the team. Donna was a beast today made a few ridiculous saves. I personally don't really like Suso. He hit a point where he was in great form but it's all gone now. Comparing him and Deulofeu it's like night and day, for the right money he can go IMO.

As for the Bacca/ Lapa debate. For me Bacca is awful. He adds so little to the buildup - he's an awful passer, can't hold up the ball. He is really only deadly within ~10 yards but we can't afford to have a player like him. Plus he is constantly offside and has no real dribbling ability. Lapa on the other hand drops deep to get the ball, he runs he hustles which I appreciate.

As for the defense, what an awful pairing. I think we should get Romag and Gomez to start from here on out and hopefully, we bring in a real cb this summer.

I half agree with this, half am bewildered. Suso has gone to sh*t, yes, I saw that months ago. Been preaching it for ages. He's basically regressed back to the Suso he was that I used to disliked, albeit a SLIGHTLY less selfish one. But my disagreement? Deulofeu. The dude just runs a bit then falls over. He's another one who let the hype go to his head and has no real positive impact right now. He also rubbed me up the wrong way with a cryptic hint that he was using us. Don't like him. Our entire front line is utterly misfiring.



Lapadula and Bacca combined would be the perfect striker. Unfortunately each lack the others' positive attributes meaning both are insufficient for Milan.



Paletta and Zaps was a disaster on paper and a disaster on the pitch. They have never been able to work together despite speaking the same language. No communication at all. Gomez is also useless. We have a few good partnerships - Romag and Zaps, Romag and Paletta (sometimes) but ultimately you get games like yesterday where everyone looks like a joke quite honestly.

UK commentator (Dave Farrar for anyone who cares) was hilarious on yesterday's match - I found myself laughing through most of the last 10 minutes.

The comical free kick was 'fantastically farcical' (brilliant phrase, loved that) and then after much guffawing Calabria wellies it into Row Z from 35 yards. I couldn't believe I was laughing with us losing but f*ck it, right?
