Update: La stampa(newspaper) has launched reports saying the denials made yesterday about Dzemaili to milan and palermo were a bluff. They are claiming negotations are underway and an announcement will be made in the next few days of his move. Torino will be in the market for a midfielder and will want to sign one before releasing the swiss.

anyways bs? No idea. We'll see.

OT inter are again linked with yoann gourcuff

not gonna happen. They are in for VDV. Gourcuff is just a bluff to make madrid sell. A stupid bluff imo, because even the common man can tell hes not moving.

I don't see how people don't want VDV. 10mil or less for one of the most talented midfielders in the world.

The problem is would he come here? He stated last night that he'd consider a return to Germany, or a move to Italy, but England was his #1 destination.

Just an FYI in advance while Fishdoll remembers: there's not likely to be very much (if any) news out of Italy from tomorrow afternoon til Monday. Saturday (August 15) is a major religious holiday in Italy and almost everyone (including journalists) takes it off.

Who said I do not like vdV? I think he's great actually but that's not what I'm saying. We buy Xavi and we'll still be weak because ours is a system that relies HEAVILY on full backs.

EDIT: Does anyone know why Mattioni was released? Was it a quality problem?

what is wrong with this guy. He's got serious issues.

He's pulling the mourinho technique trying to give His player some confidence and taking a shot at Alonso.

At least he replaced Alonso with someone solid. Look at us we get rid of all of our offensive midfielders- kaka and gourcuff that still have something, getting a ridiculous sum of money and not replace them. We are the biggest joke of world football. Every season we wait it gets worse because we need more. Soon we will need 5 midfielders, 3 strikers and 3 defenders. The only way we will get this done is if we get bought out by some Arab nation.
Every year we cover the wound with a bandaid and it takes time for players to settle.

Because we need another mid as much as we need a new fullback. Look at our midfield. Its Pirlo, Rino, Flamini, Seedorf, Ambro, Abate, Dinho, Cardacio. It's littered with defensive mids. Pirlo is the only creative central mid we have plus Seedorf bvut are we really going to spend another season hoping that he would wake up and stop being a lazy @ss? Dinho is our only attacking mid and when you're solely relying on this Dinho you know you have problems.

Fullback is another big issue, but this shouldn't be an either or situation as both are desperately needed. We need a left back and another mid, if these 2 positions are not filled for next season we're going to be screwed

Yes! And with the Ancelotti full backs over wingers system they rely on the #9 forward once Scheva(which we never replaced) and a solid attacking midfielder- kaka (no replacement) aside from that 5 years ago Pirlo seedorf and Gattuso was probably the best midfield in the business, now they've lost their pace and I believe motivation they are too complacent. I am Pirlo I have a spot no matter what happens= complacency.

On top of this our distribution from our full backs is less than adequate.

We have major holes in this in this line-up. But what can we do nothing.

We can't do it all this season. Imo if we did sign a LB and a midfielder or two, we have done well enough this term. Next season we can adress goal keeper and the defence again.

Allright game day today, hope we do good:

Anyways here are the updates:

Its reported we are taking a serious look at terminating dida's contract. We have pretty much told him that he is no longer in the club's plans. Many clubs in greece and brazil as well as other smaller leagues are extremely interested in him. We could do a kalac as well with him and do a mutual termination.

Update: we are looking at signing Simon Vukčević who is 23 yrs old and plays at sporting. His contract expires 2010. Our former player saviievic recommended him to G. He has a contract release clause placed at 20m but its reported we could work around 5m-10m. Whether or not we sign him this season or next on a free is at this point not known, but my guess is that we will be signing him either this season or the next.

Trezeguet also said he is flattered by milan but he wants to stay at juve.
