Expected. The only think he did for Chelsea was sign Anelka, and look what Anelka did for them! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I cannot agree. He did the maximum IMO. He preserved the teams stability, under his management Chelsea played their first CL final ever, he finished 2nd and his team was the only contender to Man Utd. He made a very good job, considering that he came after Jose...

Anyway..one question. Who (and when) was the last english manager to win the PL?

I don't think they ever have.

16 Premier League seasons:
11 Scots: Sir Alex Ferguson 10 (Manchester United), Kenny Dalglish 1 (Blackburn Rovers)
3 French: Arsene Wenger (Arsenal)
2 Portugese: Jose Mourinho (Chelsea)

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) English manager winning something?

Anyway this was expected, the only good thing he did was prove Ballack is a worthwhile player for them.

Let's hope the next one believes in Sheva I'm sick and tired of people saying "I always said he was rubbish"...

QUOTE (Kaka Is Brilliant @ May 24 2008, 06:47 PM)

Dirty Harry won more than Rafa, Wenger and Avram put together this season! Then again, that was probably fixed..

Sheva barely gets a chance, and whenever he does it's for the last 5 minutes of games or out of position. He scored 14 goals in his first season at Chelsea.. as a winger! Yet he's still labelled crap. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

So 2nd place in the league and the club's first ever CL final wasn't enough? Ridiculous.

It's on the same basis that Mancini has won 3 league titles, making the Final of the Coppa 3 times - winning twice. Yet he's labbeled as a bad manager.

For most clubs yes.

Although I think Abramovich looks at it more as "We didn't win anything? Ridiculous."

Anyway, surely thinking Mourinho would return should be ruled out right?...

Chris Kirkland has dropped out of the England squad through injury, Fabio Capello has called up Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis. It's very rare that a player outside the top two divisions gets a call up. Brave move by Capello, he's earned some more respect from me.

Thank you! I thought I was going crazy... for ****s sake he lead Chelsea to the CL final for the first time and Chelsea were more of a thread to United for the league than they were last season under Mourinho... now you think getting all the way to the CL final is nothing then wake up! If you think it's easy then that means Mourinho is useless... if you think Grant did nothing then Mourinho is useless again cause he was holding the team back...

It's utterly ridiculous to say he did nothing! Of course he's not in the same league as Mourinho and of course I don't think in 5 years you'll be able to look back at what he's achieved in awe but saying he has done nothing... well... OK... that's just blatantly biased.

He has won 2 league titles and he was gifted one... come on Kurt, not even the greatest Mancini fan would credit that title to him... and he won one with no competition and this season he almost lost it... his team has been eliminated at the last 16 phase of the CL for two consecutive seasons... in my view he is a mediocre coach but still I cannot say he has done nothing cause it is stupid...

I'm not saying all the 2nd place finishes in all them competitions is doing nothing. But it's not enough. He played an average team in a Cup Final, and lost. He played Barnsley in the FA Cup, and lost, he played the CL Final, and lost. There wasn't enough winning going on.

He was never going to be there coach anyways. Even if he won the CL he'd have been sacked in my opinion. But when you lose a manager a few months into the season, it's difficult to bring in someone else, so Chelsea were just waiting until the end of the season to get somebody else.
