QUOTE
Milan superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has offered a Swedish teenager a dream opportunity with the Serie A giants after discovering him in his very own back garden.

Malmo teenager Erik Kristjansson got the shock of his life when Ibrahimovic told him to pack his bags and head for Italy for a trial with the Rossoneri after the two enjoyed a kickabout at his home in Sweden.

The Swedish striker is friends with Kristjansson's architect father Gisli who helped renovate Ibrahimovic's mansion in his native Malmo. Luckily for the teenager he accompanied his dad to the house last weekend and snapped up the chance to have a kickabout with its owner Ibra who was home for a visit.

Ibrahimovic was impressed with the 16-year old's skills and was immediately on the phone to Milan.

"Zlatan came out and said, ‘How would you like to try playing for Milan?’," Gisli Kristjansson told Swedish news site The Local.

"We said, are you joking, and he said it was no joke. We couldn’t believe it," added the delighted dad.

The very next morning the teenager boarded a plane destined for Italy and has spent the week training with the other talented youngsters in the famous Milan youth academy.

"It's like a fairy tale. I’m a bit nervous, but football is Erik's life and as a father, how could I say no to an opportunity like this," Mr Kristjansson said.

His son Erik has been busy in his first week settling into his dormitory and taking part in training.

"Our training sessions are like the games at a very high tempo. I'm learning an incredible amount. Wherever it leads to we'll see. I hope I get to stay," Erik Kristjansson told Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan.

"I see myself as a winger but I've also played in other positions. It's a lot of running but I've got good lungs!"

Ambitious Erik is hoping to emulate Malmo's most famous son by making his name in Italy. For now the teenager doesn't even have a return ticket home.

"I don’t know when I’m coming home. Hopefully never," the teenager told Sydsvenskan.

"My life is football and this is the chance of a lifetime. I didn't believe it was true when Zlatan told me I could come here. Even if this doesn't turn into anything I'll still gain a lot of experience and other clubs might become interested. My goal is to see how far I can go in football."

I think this is BS. There's zero mention of this on acmilan.com or gazzetta.it, and the only sources getting a whiff of this "story" are Swedish, and no Italian ones. Seriously, he's instantly whisked off to Milanello simply after a mere kickabout in Ibra's backyard?

Plus, it's Goal.crap; 'nuff said. In the end, this was probably a fantasy camp experience and nothing more.

Of course, I wouldn't put it past Galliani to even consider for a millisecond signing this guy, as he'd be worth about five cents.

Keeping young talents out of the media limelight would make sense imo.

But you could be right.

Like you said even if he doesn't become "Milan material" he's free and he might be Serie A material and Milan can profit from it plus the kid gets a chance @ a career.

winwin

Nonethelesss, unlike acmilan.com, Gazzetta would post an article about a Milan player passing wind in an empty room.

So why would they fabricate such story? Is it a Zlatan PR machine?

You are way too quick to dismiss it.

^ Well said. With all the excess wanking over Ibra I wonder if he's going to stop global warming after he's cured AIDS and cancer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) They've elevated this piece of **** to a god back at R&B now with zillions of homoerotic and blasphemous pics like he actually did something great(see below).
(IMG:http://i52.tinypic.com/10zyert.jpg)

Yes I've drunk a lot of haterade but you guys better do me and yourselves a favour and BAN ME RIGHT NOW if another community supposedly entrusted with Milan fandom had become another festering iHomo groupie cesspool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/swear1.gif)

Someone across there actually had the nerve to say that Ibra is the best thing to happen to Milan and gets flooded with groupie high fives (IMG:style_emoticons/default/puke.gif)

@dru: I don't really mind your hating Ibra. That's fine. But the remarks you aim at him are rather homophobic no? Couldn't you maybe call him maybe a diva, a jackass, a prima donna, or even an A$$hole...

No I'm not being homophobic....just a play on his name really. At Juve/Inter I referred to him as I'mahomobitch...and I shortened it to iHomo since I'll have to refer to him a lot more now that he's one of us.

Don't think that I'm just some blind shallow hater of the guy. I don't hate him. But I DO think he's scum (kicking Strasser, provocation of Gooch, and there are TONS of footage of him being scum, interntionally trying to injure his marker etc).

Yes he scores lots of goals and I won't be here to troll, banging at him at every turn. I just thinks Milan deserves a classier PERSON. With gentlemen like Paolo, Carlo, Leo, $heva, ricky etc, Ibra is the odd one out.

If you can't emphatize with my frustration. take a look at this page. I will never insult my old forum but seriously the over the top Ibra worship is ridiculous

Oh don't get us wrong. We like him for his footballing qualities and nothing more. If we had a better option, we would throw him out the door instantly. There is no love here for this man. He's not like Kaka where we all adored him. To us he's a world class striker that is helping us out of a difficult time and thats it.

3 years from now he'll be done and we'll have dzeko and balotelli leading our front line. We'll eventually get to our classy form its just going to take a while.

Your options really get limited when you have no money and this deal was only possible because rosell and guardiola are complete and utter morons.

So grab a glass of wine and take a look at the serie A table and enjoy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

And you're saying you're trying to insult him by calling him Ibrahomobitch...but you're not homophobic at all??

I just want to clear things up...not trying to rile you up or force a viewpoint.

Like I said, you're absolutely not required to worship anyone on this forum...and well the R&B forums do have a lot of perhaps over-passionate people if not on this issue then others. But well...we do draw a line..as you might have read(and commented) in the forum guidelines post. The reason I'm repeating this is because I don't want you to think I'm asking you to stop calling him that coz we like Ibra.

We're a crazy bunch of iconoclasts here with Milan as a vague point of reference that's all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

So what's the verdict? Do I get to use it (would mean a lot). If not no biggie. Glad to hear at least someone say that he doesn't like Ibra....and that you're not required to worship anyone. That's kinda partly the reason Miz left...because she got persecuted for not thinkin the same as the mob (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
