Ancelotti? No, non era stato lui a dire no": Adriano Galliani ammicca ad Antonio Cassano in occasione della riunione di Lega Calcio. Chiusura invece verso Alexandre Pato: "Non ci interessa" ha dichiarato l'amministratore delegato rossonero.

Galliani about Cassano:

"I always liked Cassano
"In January we made a pool to bring him here but it didn't go through."
"Ancelotti? It wasn't him who said NO to Cassano.
"But we could do that pool [to bring the player] again."

About Pato:

"We're not interested."

Hey, Galliani!

You said that back in 86 we went for Vialli but ended up signing Van Basten.

Now, as we let R10 and Eto slip, i hope you sign another Van Basten mad.gif

biggrin.gif And Cassano definitely does not meet the Van Basten criteria!

Signing Cassano would be something like signing Casiraghi or someone like that...

Why do we need that troublemaker? Dam it, haven`t we "broke up" with Real? Cant Galliani just ask Capello for an advice about him?? mad.gif

u would think with all the money milan have they would splash out on gud forward like torres who want's cassano like his rubish dont want him in milan no way i want bigger demand goals

We could get him for what? 10-15M/euros max?

He's 25 in July (just like Gilardino). The problem is his behaviour and his "concept of football". I mean, this guy has talent.
But he's a problem-maker in the locker room. Would Maldini, Billy, Gattuso and co change that? I don't know, but I doubt.

If he decides to change... then, along with Gilardino we'd have the italian NT attack for the next 5-7 years.

Cassano and Gilardino - The opposite. In everything.

Cassano... "a kid", italian, problem-maker, talented, a foward, deep-lying forward.
Gilardino... a educated guy, italian, pure finisher.

That would be a scandal!! I'd give no more than E3m for him!!!! He got there for 5m and he hasn't played more than 10 games or something!! It would be ridiculous and unbelievably stupid if we paid that much...

Well... Roma paid almost 30M/euros when he was 19. rolleyes.gif

I said 10-15... but I don't really how much he's worth now.

All of those transfer fees, and he plays for Bolton. laugh.gif

By the way, I would love for Cassano to be in Milan, that would be better than Eto'o or Drogba for me. cool.gif

Posted by: zdrossoneri Jun 28 2007, 04:44 PM

He likes Cassano?! OMFG... bring us Makaay or Iaquinta at least!! (I know Iaquinta is Juve-bound) I can't believe it.

Cassano... what a big surprise.

We started with R10 and Eto'o and Henry and Drogba and now we are ending up with Cassano?! unbelievable...

And no particular interest in Pato?!...

It couldn't get any better, Galliani... thank you...

Posted by: zdrossoneri Jun 28 2007, 04:46 PM

I hope we get Fred at least...

Posted by: kurtsimonw Jun 28 2007, 04:47 PM

Cassano isn't that bad. After all, he did enter Euro 2004 on his own and it was only a fixed match that stopped him getting to the knockout stages. wink.gif

Posted by: dst Jun 28 2007, 05:10 PM

Cassano is an amazing talent. I hope all this time on the bench has allowed him to mature... if there's one team that can help him find his former self again that's Milan! I think God and co. can do it...

But that still isn't the 'great forward' we will supposedly be signing in no way! sleep.gif

Or better, just Fabio...

Posted by: whoarethepatriots Jun 28 2007, 07:01 PM

Cassano would go for about 5-7M Euros if that

He has potential but it is being wasted, i would take him over Oli

A Cassano - Oliveira swap deal would be sweet! Madrid were "reportedly" interested in Oli anyway... unsure.gif smile.gif

Cassano eyed by Milan
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has revealed that the Rossoneri are considering a move for Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano.

The unsettled player is set to leave Spain after his terrible season with the Merengues and was already paired with the Rossoneri in January, when he was followed by Inter as well.

“I have always liked Cassano,” said Galliani before entering the Lega Calcio offices this afternoon. “We had already discussed his move in January and we put the issue to the ballot, because I am a democrat.

“However, we were not all delighted with the move and the transfer did not occur. Now we could consider the option once again.

“Would I need to convince Carlo Ancelotti? No, he wasn’t the one who said no in January,” concluded the former Lega Calcio chief.

The Milan Coach was reportedly ready to welcome Talentino to his squad, but club officials did not agree with the move as they feared his arrival might create tension in the dressing room.

The situation has now seemingly changed and Cassano could be allowed to leave Los Blancos for free, but Napoli and Inter are also tracking the player.

“Cassano needs to feel valued by his public and Napoli have the kind of fans he needs,” explained international agent Ernesto Bronzetti

Milan debate Cassano bid

Saturday 30 June, 2007 ::: channel4.com

Milan transfer guru Adriano Galliani has left the door open for Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko and admitted the squad must vote on whether to welcome Antonio Cassano.

The Rossoneri thought they had signed their new striker when a £10m deal was struck with Cagliari, but David Suazo insisted on joining their arch rivals Inter, so the search is back on.

“I will not disturb other clubs,” he told Sky Italia. “I spoke with Barcelona’s top director after the President, who is Feran Soriano, but at the moment Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto’o are not for sale.”

Nonetheless, Galliani is keeping his hopes up, as the arrival of Thierry Henry could squeeze the Brazilian out of the Nou Camp.

“We will see. We are keeping our doors open and have a free non-EU member place because Kaka got married and now has an Italian passport.”

One of the other players earmarked for that spot was Shevchenko, who would welcome a return to San Siro just a year after his troubled £30m move to Chelsea.

The reports of another bid were fuelled when Sheva met with Paolo Maldini as both were on holiday in Miami.

“I am getting all sorts of information,” confessed Galliani. “When it comes to Shevchenko, we have to understand if there is a possibility of the transfer and at what price, but here as well Chelsea said no.

“He is also a non-EU member, but we have a place and are open to taking in any striker from any nationality in the world.”

That includes an Italian, so over the past few days Milan have come out into the open with their interest in Real Madrid misfit Cassano.

“Cassano is a player that I would like, but we all have to agree on the matter. I like him because it would be a fascinating challenge. He certainly doesn’t lack talent, so perhaps he would flourish in an environment like Milan, who knows?”

Former Roma starlet Cassano is notorious for his temperament and has had several bust-ups with Coaches at club and international level, including Fabio Capello and Gigi Del Neri.

It is reported that the Rossoneri will have a vote inside the locker room and among the Coaching staff before deciding whether to make a firm bid for the volatile player.

“We are working hard at the moment on cutting down the size of the squad and have already found placements for 11 of the 12 players who will be leaving this summer. The only one still to go is goalkeeper Marco Storari, who will certainly find the best place for him.”

Another of Milan’s shot-stoppers, Ferdinando Coppola, has been loaned out to Atalanta after spending last season at Piacenza.

Yeah Cassano looked terrible for Madrid. He is a little baby that has nothing to show for anything.

Everybody talks about what a talent he is. A work ethic is more important. kaka and Ronaldinho have both and they are on another level.

Still for a good price we should take him because right now our options are limited. What can we lose at this point? The last past couple striker have done terribly and one of them won the Golden Flop Award, it doesn't get any worse than that.
