Milan are understood to be lining up a series of late swoops should they beat Red Star Belgrade in tonight’s Champions League tie.

The Rossoneri have been relatively quiet on the market so far, but that may all change should they qualify for the group stages of the competition on Tuesday.

Reports suggest that a positive night in Belgrade will see club officials fly to Madrid to start talks for Ronaldo.

The Brazilian striker has been associated with the Via Turati club recently even if Inter may try to hijack the deal by offering Adriano to the Liga club in exchange.

Milan are still in need of a striker to replace Andriy Shevchenko and have also eyed Udinese’s Vincenzo Iaquinta, Carlos Tevez of Corinthians and Internacional Porto Alegre’s Rafael Sobis.

However, the latter is now understood to be on the verge of moving to Spain with Racing Santander.

There is also speculation that Milan are still interested in Gianluigi Buffon given that Nelson Dida has not yet renewed his contract which expires in 2007.

The World Cup winner has committed his future to Juventus, but a tempting offer may see a change in his future plans.

It is also understood that defender Edu Dracena, currently contracted to Cruzeiro, is on Milan’s shortlist too.

The South American, who has an Italian passport, has been targeted by Roma recently and is valued at £5m by the Belo Horizonte club.

I really hope that Buffon will come
I never seen Edu Dracena playing
I know he is 188 high and he is a very robust player
Is he the Stam kind of player

I've seen Dracena play in Greece. He was really solid but that was only in Greece ... he left cause he "wasn't good enough" ... probably someone did not like him

Ok, here is my gut feeling on these players coming to Milan:

Ronaldo: He is not coming. I don't see Calderon satisfying Berlusconi after what happened between Milan and Real. Plus, I don't think Ronaldo likes to come to Milan.

Iaquinta: Not coming. Unless as fourth striker. But I don't see us signing him.

Tevez: There is very little chance we will get Tevez. He, like Sobis, will choose the fastest option. Not the best, which is certainly Milan.

Sobis: Bye bye!

Buffon: He is not coming, PERIOD!

Edu Dracena: Can't really comment, but I think Oddo has a better chance.

Really, the question is not whether we can sign a player or not, the question is whether we want to sign a player or not... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

This transfer news give hope to me...Finally! I would really like to see Ronaldoback at Inter, and Adriano here playing for us. That would be perfect. I think, under these circumstanses, Adriano is one of the best strikers avaiable for us!

Inter never allow Adriano to Milan. They have too many lessons and that enough for them. At least, next season if they win this season.

Now we can see whether our management will keep it's word or whether they're full of BS. IMO we won't sign anyone decent as there doesn't seem to be many good players on the market. We could do with losing some players as IIRC we have 30 players in our squad which is far too many - better to have quality rather than quantity.
We need a new keeper and I can't see Juve selling to us so I would rather us go for Amelia and loan him for the season. We also need a RB and the only one I reckon we will sign is Oddo - not the best but he's available (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) . As for our new forward, I can see us getting Iaquinta - that will be our surprise (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
