QUOTE (Portugal @ Aug 25 2006, 05:51 PM) I'm looking at the age. It's obvious you can't compare a 22 yo to a 30. you mean that Tevez will be a 19 when he's 30 or are you counting those players' value???

QUOTE (dst @ Aug 25 2006, 03:47 PM) Red Star had a great team back then ... when you win with players that next season are not even good for you then this is luck. Anyway we disagree again!!!! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Red Star: Prosinecki, Savicevic & Belodedici (better than OM?) Porto: Deco and Mourinho Liverpool: Gerrard, Alonso & Benitez All teams had some undisputable qualities. Only the best players are able to repeat their best performances again and again. But a winning team is not only constructed with the best players, it takes far more. I just wanna say that, if we would win the CL or SA with the present team, i would not be luck.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 25 2006, 02:41 PM) No, that wasn`t luck. Red Star won in 1991 on penalties. Wasn`t luck either...penalty shootouts then again maybe, but also not (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) You don't consider Liverpool's win lucky???? They managed to get 3 goals in six minutes, one of them was a dive by gerrard to get the penalty but they still got it, Sheva had a perfectly good goal disallowed and we missed a dozen sitters. Then they win on penalties, if that isn't luck I don't know what is. And Porto I don't consider that lucky that year was a bit of a joke, the small teams made it to the semi finals and to the final.

I myself consider someone lucky bvy the way they won the competition, if it was by a miraculous manner ie. Liverpool then I consider them lucky. If the team worked hard enough and wanted it enough and won it, even if they didn't have a team filled with super stars I wouldn't call them lucky

Maybe Milan should have thought about defense...it was so typicall English to reduce a 3-0 lead to 3-3. When the first goal happened, I knew the others will come. Then we, had some chances, but did not used them. And then a chatastrophic penalty display without the needed concentration (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) . [SIZE=7]F@ck, this looks like I am a Liverpool fan...[SIZE=1]sorry... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (dst @ Aug 25 2006, 02:35 PM) well I've only seen him play twice ... he can do what you want but that was the La Liga you know ... in Serie A it just itsn't the same. But he has good passing skills, don't know if he can take through balls though ... Yeah that's what concerns me with any striker we bring in, especially if they are from spain, and I think that is why they where going for Ronaldo since he is proven in Serie A already, I don't think that they want to take that much of a risk, since if the player they buy now won't work out, we'l get stuck with him

(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) When I was mwatching that match I had that feeling too, I don't know why, I guess I was right (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) I had seen Liverpool coming from behind a couple of times already in that CL, and yes it I think that it was meant to be that they won it, it seems that way if you watch how they got to the final, it was definately in miraculous sircumstances. I know we had our luck in that PSV game, but they managed to get by miracyulously on too many occasions, it just wasn't meant to be for us to win it But I still believe that there are those who are lucky and those who are just cursed with bad luck

I just wanna say that, if we would win the CL or SA with the present team, i would not be luck. when you win a competition based on such players as Dudek, Baros, Biscan and next season you don't even risk putting them in then it is f@cking luck or maybe,as you said, God wanted to give it back to them considering the Heyzel incident ... same difference; they didn't deserve it that's what I meant in the first place. Unlike Inter fans I'd rather not win something that I deserve that win something that I do not deserve. That's just my opinion though ... I'm not saying our current team does not deserve to win the CL!!!!!

QUOTE (fresh_prince7 @ Aug 25 2006, 07:07 AM) Teves - attitude problems concern me If the coach takes the capitan armband just because you are from a rival country, I´m sure you´ll get really pissed off.

Totally right, but we can stop talking about Tevez since we have our striker now. All I wish now is that at least they sign another defender. Oddo or Gallas or even both
