Quaresma...(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) He can do anything with his right foot. Well almost.

Talking about Quaresma... Sporting Lisbon just beat FCPorto 0-1. Nani played a superb match (another one from th Sporting youth academy).

Whoa. Sporting beat Porto? Yay! And Nani's got great potential. Glad he was called up for this round of Euro qualifiers.

Benfica beat Amadora 1-0 today, thanks to a late goal from Petit. They're now within 1 point of Porto. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My neighbours (Benfica fans) went crazy tonight... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Late goal from Petit, deflected shot from about 40 metres gave them the win.

Porto 52
Benfica 51
Sporting 46

And we've Benfica x Porto, the next round on the 1st of April. Things are getting hot down here.

Hee. Now that will be a fun one. (Forca Benfica!) Wish I could actually SEE the games rather than relying on the text play by plays!

Don't you have RTP Internacional? I think they broadcast the League matches live. Ask dst, I think he watches Benfica matches in that channel. He knows better than me.

In here we basically just use the PPV channel SportTV1 and 2.

*grin* No, I don't have RTP -- that's a satellite station here and I have cable. Sadly, watching a stream isn't an option either, as I'm on an antiquated dialup connection. For the majority of Portuguese games (ie, not UEFA Cup or Champions League which I DO get), I follow via Mais Futebol or other Portuguese websites.

Did anybody see the PSV - Ajax game played earlier in the week? It was spectacular, Wesley Sneijder had the game of his career! Ajax completely destroyed them in their own ground!

1-1 in today's Portuguese Classico (Benfica v. Porto). Porto remains on top by 1 point, followed by Benfica.

Rui Costa played the second half. His first time on the pitch in a good long while.

I didn't see any of it (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I hear our goal was an o.g. though? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Yep. Porto score on a fk, Pepe's header on the 1st half. (Benfica missed Luisao - injuried)
Benfica scored on the 2nd half, Lucho's own goal.

I think a draw was a fair result. Porto dominated on the FH, Benfica on the SH.

We're going to have championship until the end. 7 matches to play.

I think we have the harder run in though to be honest. Having to play both Braga and Sporting. They're both home ties, but still possible banana-skins on the way to the title.

If we get 6 points from those, It'll be ours (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Benfica drew against the last club on the table. (2-2)
Same prob that Milan have. Too old, too slow... the team.

Porto champ. Benfica will fight with Sporting for the 2nd place.
