QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 29 2019, 02:05 PM) Elaborate what? Why you think Serie A is near(er) to EPL in terms of quality. I must disagree. QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Dec 30 2019, 12:22 PM) Impotency? Let me quote Mourinho for you
It's a simple equation really. Last season we had the same squad, yet scored a lot more. I understand your position, but it's more then just that. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 30 2019, 09:10 PM) We've reached an agreement with Barcelona for Todibo, loan with right of purchase. Waiting for the player's decision. Just what we need. Another teenager to fill in. Idiotic strategy...

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jan 1 2020, 02:01 PM) Why you think Serie A is near(er) to EPL in terms of quality. I must disagree. I just don't rate English clubs that highly anymore. Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, they've all been passing through some very mediocre moments for quite a while. You've only got Liverpool and Man City, and even Liverpool were nearly beaten twice in the group stages by a very poor Napoli. Tottenham were clearly a fluke last year. This season they changed coach, got their asses handed over to them by Bayern at home 7-2. That's not very impressive. And in the league there's no competition whatsoever this year for the title. I still think EPL is superior overall to Serie A, but not by a great length.

Well, I get what you're talking but the gap is still big IMO. Is any Italian club even near of winning a trophy in Europe bar Juventus? I don't think so. All the while Man Utd may be crappy yet still win EuroLeague titles and have a decent run there. Arsenal are very bad as well but were insurmountable for Milan in our last meeting.
I think English teams are much much better in general. Not so much in terms of player quality, but in overall management, marketing strategies, projects, etc.

Pretty mediocre. I saw most of the second half after Zlatan came in.
First of all, Sampdoria are very bad, yet they had 3 CLEAR scoring opportunities, BECAUSE of our mistakes. Calabria for once is one of the worst fullbacks we've had in years. The mistakes he makes are mindboggling. At least garbage guys we've had in the past like say, Mesbah or Antonelli, didn't f*ck up so often. They did the bare miniumum without any damage, but Calabria is goddawful both in defense and attack.
Secondly, we controlled the game, yet what I notice is a lack of flow and cohesion in our game. It's like our players have been put together from the street for a friendly match so they have no idea of the basic mechanisms in a tactical setup. And it's not Pioli's fault by any means, we've been like this for a long time.
As for Zlatan, he tried but the guy is certainly not the Zlatan of 10 years ago. When the rest of the team is so bad there is little he can do.

They did the bare miniumum without any damage, but Calabria is goddawful both in defense and attack. I've kind of been saying that about Davide for years. I cannot fathom how he plies his trade for us, never could. Actually, he is, for me, the very epitome of where we are. Davide Calabria sums up modern Milan. Hate to say I told you so (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
