AC Milan - Milanfan.com _ Other _ Buying Milan Tickets

Posted by: milanbuf88 Dec 10 2016, 03:49 PM

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic but I'm not able to start a new topic in the trip advisor section so I thought I'd put it here. I'm going to be in Milan on March 19th, 2017 with my girlfriend and I would like to buy tickets for us to see the Milan-Genoa game that day. Does anyone have experience buying Milan tickets? Should I be purchasing them ahead of time? I'm guessing that the stadium only sells out a few times a year (Juventus, Derbies, maybe Napoli or Roma) but we'd like to get decent seats. I've only ever purchased tickets for games at the box office in previous games I've gone to in Europe (Fiorentina, Real Madrid, and Espanyol) and that worked out well enough but I don't want to screw up this opportunity to finally see Milan in person. Thanks for any tips you might have!

You could buy them online, but they become available only one week before the match I think. The other solution would be that of buying them at the stadium before the game. Like you said, for a game like Milan-Genoa there should be plenty of seats available, even good ones.

Thanks X. We are staying right across the street from the stadium and getting there a day before so we should be able to get to the box office with out much trouble. Do you have any recommendations for places to go while in town? We are assembling our list now and I would love to hear from the perspective of some one who has been there.

Of course.

Piazza del Duomo, the obvious one. You can visit the cathedral and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, among other things
Teatro alla Scala, although I've never seen it biggrin.gif
Castello Sforzesco
Navigli area
Piazza Gae Aulenti, passing through Corso Como, Corso Garibaldi all the way to the Brera area

You should probably check for museums too if you're into it. smile.gif

So, has anyone tickets to the derby before? Online?
Just want to know if they don't run out too quickly because I will probably reserve the plane ticket before.

If you're on twitter you could try directly asking kurt (@kurtsimonwAVFC) or wait for him to see this on Milanfan. smile.gif kurt, Milan_is_Brilliant and dst went to the derby that just finished.

Thanks for the recommendations X! Sorry I didn't respond months ago. The Duomo, Galleria, and Castello Sforzesco are definitely on our list. We'll see if we can make it to a couple of the others. It will depend on how tired we are when we arrive that first day. I'm looking at tickets for the Genoa game now and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for the section or side to sit on? In looking at the ticket website the Orange side of the stadium is cheaper than the Red side. Is that because the player benches are on the Red side? I'm looking at the 65 euro and below seats. Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated. https://tickets.acmilan.com/#/product/8060/3170
