This is a very important cup and one we haven't won since the Primavera centerbacks were Paolo Maldini and Billy Costacurta. So it's been a while.

Scampini went out injured (calf injury of some sort) and was replaced by Pedrocchi.

HT Milan 1-0 Palermo

I believe we're currently in second place in our division (the primavera squads are broken up into various geographic divisions), a couple of points behind the primavera from that other Milan club. We ARE ahead of Atalanta, which traditionally has a very strong youth program.

(Now dst won't cut off any bits!)

EDIT: Strasser has gone off injured (nasty hit to the knee) and has been replaced by De Sciglio.

To be fair, in the first leg game played in Palermo, our keeper took out their best striker (kid had to be taken to the hospital). So there's probably a bit of payback going on.

Just for the record, it was FT 2-0 for Milan.

And also for the record, the last time we won the Primavera coppa, Maldini and Costacurta (as stated above) were in defense and the coach was a young Fabio Capello.

Perhaps it's a good omen.(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well if history repeats itself, who is the Primavera coach? It'd be nice to know which England manager I'll be slagging off when I'm 50.

The primavera coach is Giovanni Stroppa who was actually a teenaged player along with Maldini and Costacurta last go round. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) In his playing days, Stroppa was an attacking mid and was part of Sacchi's Milan and then, after a couple of years away, played another year at Milan under Capello.
