4-3-3 is actually a brilliant system to field a single striker, poacher or not. And while I understand your hopes in Hunter I can not share them. He's a good player, just like Gila was, but the chemistry between Milan and KjH doesn't seem to be good. Sometimes those things can't be overcome by any tactical suggestion I think.

I admit, I'm going out on a limb . I used to be a detractor myself, till he surprised me against Roma. Not with his finishing...but his willingness to work outside his comfort zone. There really was nothing stopping him from cribbing about the system...but he has put his head down. He's worked for this team, I'd like the team to return the favour.

Secondly it's those goal scoring spurts he goes on. If you look at it, none of those goal were what you call lucky poacher strikes. He does have ability. Can he be Nistelroy? Maybe not...but we won't know till we try.

As for the 4-3-3...if you see how we play, I don't see R80 supporting in the box, I don't see Pato doing it as much either. They dribble in and wait for Borriello to drag off the defenders opening space. This can't be expected of a bloke who's basically a poacher.

I say buy Dzeko. Play him with Hunter till the winter, if KJH still sucks loan him off with a buy option. I think we will at least recoup our initial investment...

Dzeko please. Having seen alot more of him in the past month or so I am positive he'll be great with the right supporting cast. I reckon he'd be fully worth the gamble.

4-3-3 is actually Huntelaar's formation.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I disagree. Goal poacher's mostly excel in a system where they have a support striker and preferably a trequartista. 4-3-3 operates best when there is a strong target man to lead the line (see Drogba and Chelsea in the Mourinho days). Its the reason why Borriello works well with the formation

Huntelaar dosent quite suit the current team or formation, and like others have said before me, i cant see personnel changing or the tactics

Roma Consider AC Milan's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar As Flamengo's Adriano Remains An Option

QUOTE
Roma are ready to establish contact with Milan for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as they continue to shuffle with Flamengo hitman Adriano, according to reports.

Tuttosport claims Claudio Ranieri is looking at Huntelaar as an alternative choice to Luca Toni who is expected to return to Bayern Munich.

Milan have always maintained the Dutchman was a non-departure. However, Roma are looking to insert Philippe Mexes as part of the deal - a player the Rossoneri have always liked.

Should the move for Huntelaar crash, Roma will apportion transfer funds for Flamengo ace Adriano. Globoesporte claims 'l'Imperatore' is keen to join them after telling his friends that Roma had an important deal for him lined up.

It follows Wednesday's reports which suggested agent Gilmar Rinaldi would be in Rome on Saturday to explore the possibilities of his client returning to Serie A via the Lupi.

However, the Brazilian club are keen to keep the hitman as their president Patricia Antorim has proclamied a new deal is on the horizon.

"If he wants to stay then we will find a way of accomodating him financially," Antorim said.

IMO , we should keep him and sell Borriello !

Totally disagree. Huntelaar, I'd sell in a heartbeat if a decent offer came across.

That said, let's wait and see who the coach is and see what THEY want.

Man, Huntelaar has potential and still didn't give the best of him.
Borriello played the best he could and agains big teams he was so miserable.
We can sell Borriello to MANs United for 20 mil, buy Ibra or Dzeko for 35-40 mil and keep Huntelaar as backup.

Borriello > Huntelaar.

No need to sell Borriello, the guy was great this season.

You cant have two great players in one position. Think about Real Madrid.
Will Borriello and Dzeko or whoever comes, accpet to stay in the bench ? OF course not.
If we do that , after 1-2 seasons no one would offer more than 7-9 mil for Borriello or that other striker we are supposed to buy.
