QUOTE (dst @ Jan 28 2009, 09:42 PM) Last time I checked, a football game lasts 90 minutes... Surely though, the fault does does not lie with Mr. Faultless for Milan in yet another game coming on in the second half looking pale. And the fault does not lie with Mr. Faultless for holding us even deeper with his substitutions. The fault I'm sure lies with some taxi driver in Peru or a coffee shop clerk in Denmark. Pato is having a very good game and he's the only constant threat for Genoa but instead of a horrible Kaka, it's him that's coming out for a midfielder... Seedorf is having another average game and when he's needed to do the only thing he does right, hold on to the ball, he's taken out for a defender... Damn you Peru taxi drivers and Danish clerks!
We played what in my view was our best 45 minutes of the season so far and threw it all away just like that in the second half... that was poor!
And again... Kaka was horrible tonight, just awful! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I blame the guy who set off the fire alarm at school today by smoking in the toilets, which forced the whole school to stand outside in the rain! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

QUOTE (han2503 @ Jan 29 2009, 06:35 AM) Carlo is rubbish. Period.
It's not Senderos' fault that he was put in at such a moment in the game, it was utterly stupid to put in Senderos in the middle of the defence while we were under that ,uch pressure. Well that is true. Bringing him on at that time of the game when the defence was functioning well and ultimately disrupting the defensive shape wasn't a smart move. Inspired move Carlo. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) And now I have to go to work, can't believe I got up for this rubbish. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I hate myself for making my 5,000th post a Carlo bashing one, but I just can't come to terms that we play great in the 1st half, and then when we go in for the break, instead of coming out motivated and firing (like most other teams do), we come out slacking, lazy, and demoralized. Where's the motivation of the coach? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) And then if he gets his subs right, we end up with a good result. He messes them up, and it's curtains for the team. Where do all the Carlo defenders go after each loss, that amuses me sometimes. Someone said in the beginning of the thread that if we win Genoa, Lazio and inter, we'll be champions. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Frankly, if there's a time to kiss the Scudetto goodbye, now it is. You can't have a star-studded squad like Milan and drop 2-3 points at will, because of slacking around.

Seems like Ancelotti made us look good once more...
Great!
(P.S. I'm not giving up on the scudetto till the last matchday)

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jan 29 2009, 03:17 AM) (P.S. I'm not giving up on the scudetto till the last matchday) Neither am I. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) But if we somehow win it, it'll be more because of our direct competitors' doing than ours. We can even manage to win when inter and Juve drop points. It was the same old same old last season, and look where that ended us. Had it not been for the Ronaldo injection the season before that, we might as well have finished 6th. And to think we have probably the best squad in Serie A - the most high profile, the most family atmosphere, and the most experienced. But still things don't work the way they should. Our team is seriously fahked up, and the first step to correcting that is accepting we have problems. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) FACT.

I think this seasons is already better then the last one, and the next one should be the crucial one. But I know 99% of you will hang me after I said it...
I'm just an easy going man, and I think that after last years black cloud, we can survive the grey ones cause they're signs of change.

QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ Jan 29 2009, 12:35 AM) Football Italia report says Favalli was keeping everyone onside for their goal.
Is he still everyone's favourite centre back after that error? Yep. Pretty much (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) .

I'm just an easy going man, and I think that after last years black cloud, we can survive the grey ones cause they're signs of change. Relax. No one will hang you, literally or otherwise. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I want to agree with you (and do on some points above), but thing is we didn't build a 100 million squad (Pato, Ronaldinho, Borriello, Flamini, Zamborghini, Uruguyans chaps, Sanderos, Abbiati, Antonini, Abate, Sheva, Beckham, etc) in these last couple of years to bring in a mere change. The management wants the Scudetto, after the humiliation of last year, and frankly if the coach can't land it to us, then I fail to imagine Galliani keeping him for another season. We're not a small mid-table club, we have fees/wages to pay. The only thing that kept Carlo all these years was his wins and titles. If they're not coming, both parties will part ways. And to tell you the truth, with the team that we have, we should have been 6 points ahead of inter by now, not 8 behind. QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ Jan 29 2009, 04:35 AM) Football Italia report says Favalli was keeping everyone onside for their goal. Is he still everyone's favourite centre back after that error? Nope. The guy is on the wrong side of 30s, gotta cut him some slack. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) And beside, at this age, he never is first team material. A very handy backup, that's all, who steps up in times of trouble or injuries to regular starters.

Is he still everyone's favourite centre back after that error? He had to at least look as if he was trying to close down that cross lol.... There's alot of things that went wrong during the goal here: http://www.livegoals.com/free_football_hig...-28-01-2009.phpSenderos shouldn't have let the guy who provided the header have so much room right in front of goal, the guy gunning down the flank should've been closed down earlier and someone should've tracked Militos run. Janku was in no mans land,he was just ball watching while a Genoa player makes a run inside right behind him. So i'd say it was a collective screw up. But they had chances before that too, lots of them,Abbiati had to pull out his shot stopping awesomeness to save one and they had a few shots go astray.
