(IMG: http://media2.acmilan.com/200709/8022_big.jpg) Why? Well. More matches played. Italian. Charismatic player. Fight-spirit. -Nesta and Oddo are laziali. Or at least wore their captain armband. -Bonera is too young. -Ambrosini is not always a first-team player. And I don't like him too. -Pirlo - as much I like him - I don't think he has what it takes to be a leader. -Kaka', Kaladze and Seedorf are not italian and I think our captain must always be from home.

Well we know that in Milan, the captain of the team is the guy who leads the dressing room, and not the best player. It's why as much as I love Andy P, and tolerate Kaka ((IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) they don't get my vote. Seedorf would be captain in a heart beat if he weren't non-Italian. I think Sandro has refused to be captain of the Milan team. It's the only explanation I can give. Perhaps out of respect for having worn the Lazio band? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Between Ambro and Rino then, and they've chosen Ambro ahead of Rino. I like both of them tbh so I don't really care. Besides Rino has already said, that he doesn't mind being second fiddle to Ambro. So that's fine then.

QUOTE -Kaka', Kaladze and Seedorf are not italian and I think our captain must always be from By all means, it isn't exactly a "law". We could name a non-italian as team captain IMO. Occasionally we had Boban and Leonardo as capos. But I get your point.. I voted for Nesta, but I'm about 90% sure Rino will get it next season. Only problem is that this wouldn't be exactly a nice gesture to Ambro. Btw. Costacurta and Albertini wore the armband, Tassotti and Baresi..did Ancelotti had the honour? And who was captain before Baresi and after Rocco, Trap, Cesare and Rivera?

Just saw this one. Much as I'd love to see Nesta as captain - and I think he's got the best personality/presence for it - it's my understanding that Milan usually works on the same seniority principle that the Azzurri do. If that's the case, it means that the armband will go to whoever's been around longest.
In that case, I think it would be - in order - Ambrosini - Gattuso - (sorry, dst) Kaladze - Pirlo - Nesta.

Yep, I think you're right. But, I'd add a slight correction - Ambrosini - Gattuso - Ba - Kaladze,.. How could I forget to include him into this selection,.. The only players to come out with any sort of credibility from the Atalanta match were Kalac and Ambrosini (perhaps Maldini too) Long after everyone had given up, Ambrosini was there pushing the team on, giving his all when players like Pirlo and Gattuso could not be bothered A captain should not need motivation to play well against Atalanta or any other team, he should play his heart of for his team always, even if his legs fail him. I have already voted for Ambrosini, but you all should realise he is the best captain material, he is not our most gifted player technically or physically, but that is not the point Lead by example is what he does, and will always do (IMG: http://media2.acmilan.com/200712/9040_big.jpg)
